Throw awat the iLv system, implement a PvE Rank system.

I OT 1-4 with that group as well, but there is a bit if truth to your statement.

However, I cleared T5 on my Bard Alt at i79 pushing 235+ dps with ballad up until I went oomp, out parsing the brd in that run as well as 7/8 of the bards in pugs prior to that, all whom were i85-90. I still can't get into i84+ parties(1/3 of them) until a week from now when I get enough myth

The ilvl requirements are all laughably low. I could wear my valentines costume and still queue for most of them.

If you're talking about the party finder, just equip some i90 rings from another class until you're past whatever arbitrary minimum they set, and swap back once you've joined. I do it all the time. As long as you play as well as you say you do, they will be none the wiser.

Well then, you're just admitting that you do it and that you're exactly the sort of player I've been talking about. There are a lot of you here who do the same thing, and it's why we have such horrendously-inflated item level requirements and absolutely terrible, yet spectacularly overgeared, players.

Now, the item level averaging is a bit wonky right now, as Alistaire linked above. That said, people have cleared Titan HM in bikinis. The reality is that the content just isn't that punishing.

PvE ranking would just lead to people selling runs for ranking...
Maybe that's what you're really after... can't tell...
