You need to choose :P. Which job would you rather be, that needs to be the main choice.
Why does the OP think he magically has the rights to 2 completely viable stand-alone roles just because he's currently the only class in the game with 2 jobs?
You're meant to choose one. There's nothing odd about this.
I would guess because of the armory system... where players are supposed to be able to play any job on one character. I think it's odd that you can be any other job- but because they stuck 2 on one class- that requires a choice....it's not even a choice between two of the same role... if you want to play a summ, you have to choose against one of the only 2 healing classes...
if you want perfect stats for each job SMN & SCH make an alt and grind to 50 , like everyone else has to grind to 50 with other jobs ;) thats the tradeoff for getting 2 jobs for the price of 1 grind
You CAN play any class on one character, and you still can. But SMN and SCH are JOBS, not classes.
You wouldn't be complaining about this if SMN and SCH had their own 1-50 leveling.
I'd much rather just reset my stats instead of have to grind another class from 1-50 like every other class in the game. I really don't get the complaining.
I didn't have to make an alt to level 50 in my other jobs... having to roll another character to play a job like that is against the armory design...sure, if they had another class that you could level to 50 to get the other job on the same char- that would make sense...
^^ To the post above, you are right... if there was a seperate job to level to 50, I wouldn't be complaining- because it would be consistent. (It would also make a lot more sense than SCH suddenly being stuck on to arcanist... a dps class...) - does equipping any other soulstone change your role? Maybe, but I can't think of one...
I am totally with you OP! I have been a main class arcanist for a while now and it saddens me that I can't play both jobs to their full efficiency. Personally I am all for separated stat allocation based on job rather than class. To me there is no point to having an armory system if we're not able to play the various jobs simultaneously without some major debuff like losing 30 stat points. Sure, 10,000 GC seals doesn't take long to acquire but after already resetting stats 6 times I would be lying if I didn't say it's getting old fast.
Okay, this thread is just proof that MMO players will cry about anything.
You roll the only class in the game that can switch between DPS and Healer, require only 1 1-50 grind, and share equipment. Yet it's bad game design because you don't get free attribute points (which you can reset at any time)
Ok.
You can always grab the item from your GC that lets you re-allocate stats. Yeah it's 10,000 seals but you can switch optimizations every now and then.
Just go 15/15 and play both to 95% effectiveness.
