SE controls the amount of instances. They could easily make it so that there is never a situation where there is NO land available.
If they have to limit the number of instances because their hardware can't handle it, they should, I dunno... upgrade the bloody hardware perchance? There's no excuse for that to be such a frequent limitation.

I want to point out that before people invest in FC housing right away, they might want to consider the possibility of the devs acting on the complaints and deciding to adjust prices down later. There will be tremendous anger from those who spent the gil for the original prices should there be no refunds.
I actually think the prices are fine. Yes I am Legacy and nooo I am not rich in game, no where close to it but I do like the idea of gradually working towards an in game investment of good content even if it is expensive, just prefer doing it for solo housing and so I do not know if I will contribute to a FC house or not. I can't wrap my mind around enjoying a use for group housing yet and that may change when I see it but until I do I will enjoy other stuff. :) -
12-16-2013, 10:29 PMAmnesiaHazeRMT is the only way i can think of how people can afford these houses , RMT will be thriving as never before , and that will result into everyone getting increased spams , housing prices are a lose-lose situation , players lose motivation to play and earn housing because there is no way to get that gil legally , SE will lose customers over this because the prices are disrespectful for people paying money for a subscription and never get access to a house, this is a great example how game feature additions should not be handled (making them virtually non existent and locked out for most of the players)Quote:

Perfectly legitimate explanation as to why prices will start out so high. (They can always be altered)
Huge houses aren’t content that people should have fresh out the box; it's something we should strive for. Having a huge mansion should be a status symbol (Like they're trying to do) not something everyone's able to achieve by pooling their quest gold.
Were I Yoshi, I would be completely disgusted with this community right now. They're giving us a ton of new dungeons, content and a -FREE- way to change your characters appearance and all you can do is piss and moan about how unfair you're being treated.
The only complaints that are justified are the class nerfs. Nobody likes being nerfed; people actually do quit over it, Mr. P.
