Please, seriously, allow us to send tells to people in dungeons.

Sorry to bring this up again.

Would it be technically possible to send and receive /tells in instances?
If yes - is it confirmed that this feature will NEVER be implemented into ARR?

I think it's hell of annoying that i always have to break a conversation with a friend upon entering an instance.
And it's one of the things i'll consider for future subscription.

its funny how ppl dont want tells cause "RMT"... That doesn't make sense..... So instead of raging at SE to moderate their game and get rid of RMT you tell them to disable tells? looool

By that logic tells should also not exsist outside of instaces... or even not exsist at all...

And the "i dont want people messing up my run cause they're chating on /t" argument: Guess what? That already happens on FC and LS chat. and whispering while in battle is a thing in every MMORPG on earth, does it make them impossible to clear? probably not...

My theory is that SE is just having touble developing a working system and they just cover it with "we dont want you to get harassed", I mean, not being able to communicate with the server to get info on Linkshells and friend list makes it obvious that there is something wrong with the server structure...

Yea tells in dungeons are great... " BUY GOLD" will just get worse.

It may be a choice, but that doesn't mean the solution isn't technical or that it is already implemented. It's very probable that more development is required before they can do it.

"if you give me recomendation i give my recomendation for you" 1 person can tell that for 3 person in a light party dungeon and receive 3 free recomendation(or 7 with full party) amd peoples can harass etc(even gold sellers spam)

I get two, perhaps three RMT tells per day.

Evidently, that would be utterly destructive to many players here, to the point that they can no longer complete the content.

I think we need a better brand of player.

"what you doin, wanna farm tomes?"
"omg i gotta tell you something"

what am i supposed to do?
wait and try to send tells every minute?

I am not going to have every 1on1 conversation in LS or FC.
If i want to talk to 1 person i don't want to talk to 20 at the same time.

and this "harassment" issue...

i had more harassment in 5 months FF14 party/ally chat than in 5 years FF11 all chat combined.

Agreed, This is something lacking.

I was queued up for a dungeon, while talking to the FC leader about something. Oh wait I'm not cut off 1/2 way threw what we where talking about.

The real issue is the instance design. When your in an instance, you are off the server. As such you are no longer in the network for the games tell system. It is not currently designed to allow sending tells to someone not on the server. They'd have to change all that.

They'd also have to make it so that a name can only be used once across all servers. Since this does not happen currently, the servers would have absolutely no idea which character to send a message to when in an instance.

Reason LS and FC work: they're tied specifically to your character, unlike your name.
