Toxic endgame community...

If you need to use DF to do CM you are doing it wrong. If you want to Farm it efficiently you join a shout in mor dhona and do it twice in the same time a DF group can do it once, with no downtime between runs. That thing holding up your tomes/hour? It's not the guy watching CS, or the guy in full AF, it's you using DF.

There is no excuse for giving people crap for watching the cut scenes if you use the duty finder. No excuse. Want a speed run? Go make a pre-made. Honestly, most of you speed runners are crap players anyway. From the careless DPS, to the tanks that aren't paying attention. Healers see all cause we are staring at your bars the whole time. We know when you're hit by something or not doing anything. And that happens all the time. I would rather spend the extra 5 minutes running with newer CM people than any of your lot. It saves on my repair bills and healers know what I mean.

There are speed runs... and then there are speed runs... but that is a different subject all together :D

And if you put "relic only" to the shout, you're branded as elitist :P
(funnily these "relic only" parties get stuff done and usually all are top notch)

Enjoyable parties in the doody finder are pretty damn rare. I find more assholes in the doody finder than anywhere else.

IMO if the clock is ticking don't watch the CS. I wouldnt and dont want to hold others up. I will watch the CS in the inn when I have the time. I'm Legacy btw...a super toxic one.

This is ridiculous. There was never, that I saw, such a toxic elitist endgame environment in 1.0. Legacy players - those who stuck it out - are generally more forgiving and understanding and are in it for the long haul not for short/fast rewards (otherwise, why would you have even played 1.0 for that long lol)

All i have to say is 1.0 was peaceful. 2.0 seems to be fulled with ridiculous people. So it isn't the Legacy players who are rude....

Both 1.0 and 2.0 have their fair share of players who are part of the reason why we have such a toxic endgame community. I recommend we start finding a solution for this and stop blaming each other.

I have noticed that the toxic endgame players have also started to spread their silly behavior on low level dungeons. I have done some of them with players who had equiped Darklight armour and they were always rude to us low levels. Which is why I am not suprised that this is also happening at endgame. What I do find weird is that when we are all leveling (from my experience) everyone did not mind a wipe or 3, we were polite to each other, but the moment the players reach endgame and start farming those tomes, they do a 180 and change into those rude, gogogogogogo type of players.

I ran Thousand maws of toto-rak a couple of hours ago and in the party there was a THM, a WHM and BRD who were in full Darklight and me as the tank. The run went smooth, untill the healer in the Darklight armour decided that we should go faster, so I pulled more and adjusted my pace to them. While we were doing the instance, they were insulting the THM and when I told them to behave and be polite to their fellow player, they started insulting me. When we reached the final boss a cutscene showed up, so the THM and me wanted to watch it. They started insulting us, telling us to skip it, the cutscene took maybe 1-2 minutes and they still went on with insulting us. When the cutscene ended, I saw that both of them have left the group.

This is not the first time that I have encountered this type of behavior from players who were at the endgame farming stage, I am baffled as to why these players act in such rude way and I hope that Square Enix can do something about this. If this goes on the Final Fantasy XIV:ARR will have the same community stigmas as World of Warcraft and that game is known for ts rude and childish players.

PS: I could have left the party , but I talked with the THM alot and he told me how he had to wait for 35 minutes to join this group, so I stayed for him.

I had the same problem back then.
Was insulted that I had to skip the cutscene.
Those pathetic people...Glad I'm out of the game and don't have to see those peasants again.
