Oh thank god I was worried I just wasn't getting some new thing lol. I do the same as you, use Foes at the beginning, as MP regens see how the healer's doing, if they're fine pop Foes back on again with what little I have or once MP is full (if i'm doing a lot of dodging :P). Really I just wasn't sure 100% if the boost for the BLM's damage would negate the BRD's damage drop or not, so gave up on trying to advise :/Quote:

I ran Qarn hard mode as pld the other day. I pull the first two packs as normal, but end up dying really quickly. The healer makes some comment like "seriously? O_o" so I figure they just weren't up to speed yet. So after we respawn I make the same pull again, and again I start dying really quickly. I look at what the WHM is doing: medica 2, medica, medica, medica... and seeing as now that's not enough healing for a tank carrying 7-8 mobs, we go down again (well, except for my monk buddy who somehow manages to survive and stay safe somewhere further on in the dungeon XD). I try to tell the WHM to use cure 2 instead, but they just make some annoyed remark from which I infer they thought I was making it too difficult and leave. The rest of us stand around confused for a while, until a new healer joins and we go through the dungeon without further issue.

-Bards not playing Foes (you don't really need your MP... give the magic classes that buff)
-Dragoons not using Heavy Thrust (I actually had one say "it is only 12s at my level, not worth using")
-Off-tanks not grabbing adds and letting healers tank them -

(Granted sometimes I am on auto-pilot/have DPS tunnel vision in some instances on bard that I forget to turn mine on if I'm with a caster. XD So that's why I try to do it pre-pull now because I'm always focused on my DPS or my opener when we're on a boss. XD) -

With bosses, I think it's just learning which ones you can safely pre-cast and which ones you can't. Like Ozma, don't activate before a pull because even if you are on the back edge of the platform, the song will still aggro and pull (seen a lot of bards learn that the hard way). Most other bosses though you can sit right outside the barrier and turn it on and be fine. :3 -

A11 yesterday. Things start to go south at around 30% as usual. All the dps die. After propellor wind I use LB3. They all proceed to die again. Apparently the yellow aoe lines are not obvious enough. At 3% the dps are blowing up the chat to wipe it, when the two healers and the two tanks are up. We clear. After the clear, we have explain to DPS how to dodge and not die, while they get angry that we didn't reset the boss and cleared for them.

Luckily I learnt my lesson well before Ozma, so at least when I accidentally aggroed a boss a few times it was only during a dungeon not in front of 23 other people! :p & I can chuckle at my bf now when he forgets to stop Garuda and she runs off and attacks! (happened on A9N the other day, frickin hilarious :D) -

Haven't done dungeons in a while until today, and I got paired with such a very "lovely" tank.
Paladin in 220 (and lower) gear in Gubal Library Hard. He only had 2k more HP than I did (NIN)
Now this Paladin was completely oblivious to the other members in the party. The SMN had just a little over 15k HP and the astro didn't have the best gear either.
Now this would be fine if the dungeon was done normally, but this Paladin constantly used Sprint pulled huge groups.
He used Flash after passing the mobs, missing a one of the mobs in each group often. Which immediately went to the healer or SMN.
Even using Smokescreen to reduce their enmity didn't helped, because the Paladin never tried to pick up these stray mobs. Shadewalker helped a little, but it has a long cooldown.
I was using Smokescreen, Goad, and Shadewalker every chance I could.
Because the summoner also had low level gear, their damage output was very low. It took a LONG time to kill each huge group of mobs, and the healer struggling to keep PLD alive
This Paladin couldn't hold hate at all either, stray mobs are going all over the place and he doesn't do anything.
He wasn't even attacking the mobs. Just jumping up and down, running in circles.
And he would always point the mobs at the group, including bosses.
I couldn't tell if he was trolling or just really really bad.
I don't care if people pull huge groups. But I care when they and the other members of the group can't handle it.
