Not Dodge the aoes before they cast, lol. How is moving before the mob cast anything "Visually noticeable"?

Don't count on it.

What irks me being in the UK is when I am on the world selection screen how come any worlds on the NA/EU data centre show up as only a good connection status which I understand is the lowest rating it shows, yet if I jump over to the worlds on the JP data centre they show up with a excellent connection status. I find that incredibly annoying that the connection to our shiny new data centre for NA/EU players is worse than what it is going to the JP one.

I am also playing from the UK, on the Japanese servers no less. However unfortunately the issue is just as prevalent if not more so. I ran a test specifically on AoE attack avoidance and off-GCD ability responsiveness on Legacy Ragnarok EU where my 1.0 character is and Atomos JP, which is the server I now play on. Things are equally bad on the Japanese server.

I am wondering how many people posting in this thread are either from the EU or from areas far from the NA and JP servers.

It "doesn't" matter where you live or where you connect; sure these facts affect latency as well, but the pings are not the issue as it has already been stated, the real problem lays into online game/networking design, at the server end.

I doubt this will ever change. This game has a shitty engine and a horrible net code.

Why do you think every ability has a 2.5 second gcd? It's no coincidence and quite frankly, it doesn't help.

You know what else isn't a coincidence? The drop of active players since the free month trial expired.
