Roleplay/Partyfinder Discrepancies & Policy Enforcement by GM's

I do find some humor in the fact that, if you look at PF right now, this has had the absolute opposite effect of 'cleaning up the PF.'

So far, my favorite take is "What, so we're not allowed to make Raid Progression parties on PF anymore?" And I'm not surprised that this has triggered, of all things, the Streisand Effect.

Sure, people that have already RPed in the past know how it goes. But I can tell you that not everyone starts out with that information. Anything that makes it more difficult for newcomers to interact is not something to be supporting, tbh.

We literally go to a Brothel on the first too.

Not to mention the quest where you escort a Courtesan in Limsa.

If this was about spam, I could see a case being made. However there's zero indications that's what's caused this. If the warnings delivered from a GM mentioned that, I think most people here would be understanding. Nothing wrong with advertising your venue, but if you're advertising it 5x (or more), sending it out en masse in shout chat, etc. that's crossing a line.

If Square wants to have a policy about spam then great, I think most people here would welcome it. However this doesn't seem to be the crux of the issue here.

People are resourceful... But telling people that can't use a resource they used since party finder was introduced almost seven years ago... Seems a wee bit extreme? Especially since the vast majority are under "Other" category? It's not like you're often seeing RP adds in the raid section. It shouldn't bother anyone.

I distinctly remember there being several mentions of "Pleasure Barges" with enslaved women on them. That really stuck with me from several quests..

Yeah, SE really showing some double standards if brothel ads are where they draw the line. They have no leg with which to quickly hop to the other side on.
