Some suggestions, mostly quality of life, obvious things

Can we have it so the Gathering Log updates with the times Unspoiled Nodes spawn after we've successfully gathered the item? Also would be nice if we can see the location of items on Unspoiled Nodes after we've successfully gathered them before, I'm always having to remind myself which Cluster is in which slot and it's just annoying at this point.

I think this is a great idea. Switching between retainers without having to exit out of the command window.

I got around this problem by arranging the ward skills by their cluster position/order. Remembering that there's something before them and something after them (they only take up the middle 6 slots of 8), I put a place holder to either side of the wards to represent those things. For example, my lightning ward is second on the bar because its clusters are always in the second slot on the nodes.

Still have issues when I go back to gathering general materials after a long break and end up going "Which slot was Platinum in again?", for example. But thanks, for Clusters that'll really help.

This needs more attention. A lot of the maps / dungeons have really good soundtracks but we spend most of the time in battle. It's a waste for them to have made those soundtracks and ppl not being able to listen to them at all. (in a dungeon i can only listen to it in during the first 30 seconds)
This shouldn't include boss / fate fights if possible though, or add a branch option for that. Those are fights that should feel different from the rest after all.

I never paid too much attention to that but you're absolutely right. Instead of listening to the unique music of the dungeon, I'm listening to the same song that I've listened to over and over gain since my very first battle with that little rat thing.

I'm not talking about that ^^; It needs to be where, when you're running around doing whatever..you can have it set to where the crossbar will automatically disappear. Then, when you have your weapon out..the cross bar will reappear. That is what I mean. :)

not sure if already asked but I want an option to blacklist items so junk items will never be in my inventory ever again.

many are complaining baout harrassment or longer qeue as consequences of 1 vs 1. here is my suggestion and please game develepor take time to read this and reconsider.

1. if harrassment is the issue, then create a zone that is optional for players to challenge other players. try to make a zone requirement of specific level or ilevel so that only those of matched attributes can fight and have a competitive play. if you dont want to be harrassed or play any duel just stay out of the area.

2. longer qeue? how about a prerequisite to entering the zone is any pvp qeue. so while waiting, it buys a some time. again no reward for 1 vs1. just simply a competitive duel.
*if you can get the picture of this suggestions, you can make a story out of this with concept of sparring or practice before the real deal which is the frontline or wolves den. it is simply q quick frndly sparring.

Thumbing through the options...disappointed there's no combat music option similar to the mount music option. Random encounters and entering FATE circles cuts the fine music to something I don't want to listen to.

I agree. This should have been an option ages ago... it's frustrating, it ruins a lot of the immersion being forced into a combat track.

My suggestion is a very minor one so I'm hoping they'll be able to slip it in at some point:

Currently, when you go to the character select screen and look to the bottom right hand corner, you can see what rank veteran reward tier you are eligible for and how many days there are between that and the next tier.

I would like the number next to "Total Days Subscribed" to reflect how many days you have been subscribed for and "Days Until Next Rank" to reflect how many days are left until you qualify for the next rank. I think that would be much more useful information, rather than just stating how many days the current rank activates at and how many days there are between ranks as it is now.

Can we have this please?

or if i have to use "/hotbar change" then it really needs to be changed

Can the Timers menu be cleaned up a bit?

Leve Allowance does not need to be on there.
Map Allowance doesn't really need to be on there.
Challenge Log does not really need to be on there (seriously, that's a weekly thing, why isn't Tomestone allowance on there as well? It's the same thing...).
Ventures? I can check those easily at my Retainers. Doesn't need to be on there.

Supply Missions and Rowena's House of Splendors are the only thing on there I care about at this point, since I'm done with the Ixali dailies (though they do deserve to be on there).

At the very least can you split it into two tabs? One which is purely timers, the other which is used to check what items you need to get for the daily things?

Also, on the daily things. I'd love a "Mark this" option for those, so I can just mark all the items I need to make for my Supply Mission and just instantly see what I need to make in the Crafting Log. Similar thing for the Crafting Log actually; Mark Materials. Make it nice and easy to see what materials I need to go get to make whatever. This is particularly a problem with Culinarian, which tends to have a lot of ingredient to make one thing. Just being able to make those ingredients so I can quickly identify what I'm picking up would be an amazing QoL adjustment.

Looking at your list I don't see anything about the ability to craft right from your retainers. No more searching for this or that if you have it on your retainers it will show up and you craft it.

Now they don't need to make it so you can do this anywhere but at least if there is a retainer bell in the area you are crafting IE.. your house,guild house or in any area that has a retainer bell you should be able to craft from your retainers inv. Many games have this feature and it would be really nice with all the additions and new recipes that need the lower level stuff to make.

Let me ride other mounts when my chocobo is being used for battle.

Also show my exp bar as a percentage.

Can we please change the Grand Company Expert Delivery to only show the "Delivery Complete" message once overall like the change that was done some time ago for Levequests. It is really annoying handing in 10,20, etc. items and seeing that message continue on and on. Thanks.

I am not sure if it was mentioned but I think it would be a good idea if we can share treasure map hints with people in game sometimes it takes multiple eyes to find a location faster

Probably a request we've had many times, but can we please have timers on abilities and icons showing the remaining cooldown? We can see this if we mouse over, but this is quite inconvenient. It would be nicer to have both the rotating wheel and a timer saying 30s or whatever, especially for abilities like hallowed with long cooldowns such that 1 degree in the "clock face" is almost 1s.

How about an icon next to the name of a given duty in the duty finder to indicate that it is a high-level duty so that tanks know which duties count towards their respective tank mount achievements? It could even be the same symbol used for S-rank hunts.

I'm not against this feature but I don't think it should be tied to escape.
Escape is often used to close out of windows or to bring up the settings, HUD, keybinds, etc. I can foresee myself accidentally deleting my chat logs if it were to be tied to escape.

Instead, I would propose allowing this to need a keybinding to execute, with the default having no assigned keybinds to it.

I kinda wish there was a feature to turn off the movie if you leave the log in screen idle more than a minute. Not a huge thing, but its a bit jarring to become distracted and then hear a wailing woman from across the house once it begins. I get the point of these things, but once we've seen the opening movie once, there's really no reason to view it again unless you decide to on your own.

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but I would love to be able to set the quantities of materials you can get from your Grand Company. There's nothing quite as tedious as buying 99 pieces of potash/coke/hardened sap (etc) ONE AT A TIME when you need around 200+ for airship material building.

Have chocobos count as minions (Like summons for summoners/arcanists) instead of party members so we can queue for the duty finder while they are out. Why were they even implemented as party members in the first place? Just code the game so you can't have chocobos in dungeons.

Not to my knowledge. If someone's crafting beside you for instance, you'll see the flying icons (and possibly text, I don't remember) of every skill effect they use.

There used to (as in in the 1.0 days) be a Lodestone feature that allowed you to pick your avatar, including versions for events you'd participated in and the like. I don't know if this is still possible or not but it might be worth checking.

In the bottom of the audio system settings, you can mute all other players. I expect this applies to their fishing rods as well.

Being able to zoom in closer to your character in normal camera and gpose would be nice.

I think it would be neat if they gave us an option to see player chat as speech bubbles above people's heads. It always feels weirdly disconnected to look at a person but having to look down left in an entirely seperate window to see what they are saying :x
It's also makes RP and events like the player-made theatre performance Diablos just had that much more enjoyable.
The difference is like the difference between watching a movie with subtitles vs. watching it in the language you understand.

I get that some people would possibly find this annoying or jarring though, so it should be a chat option :)

I'd like to suggest that... when we examine a door, a doorman, or a ferry guy, the default option should be "yes". I examine them because I want to enter so it doesn't make much sense to have "no" as default option.

It would be a nice QoL fix if they could change it so that maintenance messages/announcements were given in a time appropriate to your server, not language. Even though I play on a JP server, because I play in English it always tells me the times in... what is it, PST? Which means nothing to me so I have to go and open the lodestone in Japanese to check the times. It's just a bit annoying, and if they could alter it to local/server time it would be great.

Its best to try and remember the time difference. For example my time is EST. It is 3 hours later here than it is there in PST. So i always know to just count up 3 hours from the given time. I know it might be a pain, but i think itll feel worth it to not have to open lodestone for that again.

True, it's just especially annoying because the time difference is so big that often the American time makes it a completely different day (most recent maint started Jan 25th for US, but took place on Jan 26th here). We can get around it, but it would just be a nice touch - US servers PST, EU servers GMT, JP servers JP time or something.

I won't disagree with that. I guess i got lucky by at least living in the US.

Now that the Fitting Room has the "Dye Preview" option (thanks for that, by the way), it would be nice if we could use the "Try On" command from the character window on gear while we're wearing it, so that we can open the Fitting Room to try out dye combinations. As it is now, if I want to see how my current gear would look, I have to unequip something so that I can use "Try On" from the Armory Chest.

On the subject of the fitting room, could we also get an option to substantially enlarge its view window. It has such a small space for our character's image you either zoom out so far you can't make out any detail, or zoom in so far that you can only see a tiny portion of your character.
