your request is not the problem , but stating something thats ur personal preference dosnt make it a fact for all ^^ its a game and as a game it carries the vision of the developers ^^

But there's a major difference between those other MMO companies and Square Enix. They sell games with a story, Square Enix sell stories in a game. And honestly, I highly doubt SE will go through with it. I understand your request and I can sympathise with it, but at the end of the day I highly doubt it's going to happen.
Eh I'm pretty positive they aren't going to do it either. Atleast they aren't gating the classes like they did with HW. I made a friend play this game and he smashed through ARR to get MCH and was very disappointed. Now he won't doesn't trust my suggestions any more lol.
Yes. Some people wouldn't play FFXIV until Dark Knight came out (or a gun class)... and then were disappointed when they found out they could not play DRK unless they got one Job hey don't care about to 50 and finished ARR and BtF (by then the Job possibly being around level 52-54) and then had to go back to level 30 and spam dungeons/FATEs, as there was most likely no quests available because of the Job they didn't care about using them all.
Don't be daft. If someone sees that Red Mage is coming out but don't want to play something else, or in the case of something like Black Desert where players know a year in advance about a class they want; yes, they do and will wait. That in NO WAY means they inherently don't or wont like the game. Hello?
I think we can all be mature enough to recognize that a statement should be taken to the reasonable level it was intended and not extended to unreasonable ends in order to make a convoluted point. You did the latter.
A game telling a player "You can't play this class until you've spent a huge chunk of time and wasted a bunch of XP on a class you don't enjoy and oh, by the way, even when you are high enough level to run all those dungeons, you won't be able to unless you've completed all these hours of linear questing" is beyond the level of reasonable when it comes to "things that get in the way of fun". I enjoy leveling. It's actually the thing I do most in MMOs. What I don't enjoy is being forced to level one thing when I want to level something else and in turn having the leveling experience of my intended class damaged because of it.
When I first played this game, I played as WHM. I quit for a variety of reasons but returned some time after HW launched to make a new character. I was drawn primarily by two things: Au Ra and Astrologian.
So I made an Au Ra but the game said lolno to AST for completely arbitrary reasons that aren't an issue in any other MMO.
Turn down your smug meter a little bit, My entire point was that it's a really silly reason to only play a game just because you're waiting for a certain job that you have no idea how it will play, Playing a game for a very specific class is honestly pretty silly.
Did you know i actually loved bard in FFXI? it was a support job, when i heard it was going to be in 14 i was pretty excited, To my dismay it played NOTHING like it did in FFXI, it has similar "names" but that was about it. didn't stop me from playing this. You only set your self up to be dissapointed if you are only looking for one job without knowing how it will play. There was so much salt after DRK was released. because NO one expected it to be a tank.
