While it's definitely a "rumor" since it isn't confirmed yet, it seems like a ridiculously safe bet to say that it will be announced at E3. E3 is the prime venue, and the chances of it being this year are quite high.

And I hope SE bumps up ps3 players to ps4 version for reduced or free price - maybe partner with Sony as a near / release game. The second the dev says the ps3 is holding the game back... drop dick ps3 welcome ps4

Well, no, that is raw numbers. But the PS3 WAS 1000 USD in brazil at launch (and given exchange rates about 2000 BRL).

Holy... Red & White subligar will work!!

When that small JP text said May or June, first thing that came into my mind was FFXIV lol. (Friends = SE)
If FFXIV going ot be ready in May then they will announce package with PS4+FFXIV bundle, if not June at E3... that was my guess anyways... doubt it, but not 100% impossible...

That meteor console art someone showed on the forums would be a pretty cool bundle. Wonder how hard it will be to port ps3 games to ps4 (effectively - perhaps SE has it all ready, that would be cool).

I think its possible, but I dont think it would be their main announcement.. FFXIV doesnt have the best reputation for Sony to load out with it. I havent really kept up with the ps4 information though.

Don't forget, there was a gap of 18 months between the unveiling of the PS3 and the retail release of it.

If the PS4 follows suit, an E3 reveal in May will give us a street date of Nov/Dec 2014 for the system.



If SE has any part in it, they will likely show off what appears to be spectacular FFXV CGI trailer, that fades to black at the end, only to reveal that is running in (Surprise!) real-time on the PS4!!1! (or more specifically, on PC hardware similar to what they expect it to be).. Oh, and BTW, its gonna be a PS4 exclusive (queue cheers from Sony fans/reps/etc and dismissive comments from MS and Nintendo reps.)

Either that, or they'll just show off a subtly gimped Agni's Philosophy for the system.

Two reasons why I want to see Sony to beat Microsoft.

1) I can finally play all Halo games on my PC since I still don't see the point of buying an Xbox.
2) I can finally play all JRPG games on my PS4 since Microsoft need to stop messing with Japanese developers.

That's my opinion but I know Xbox will win in North America and it's hard for Japanese developers to localize their games but hell with it and just release all third-party games on both systems. :p

i see both console failing due to the fact they releasing so early the reason ps3 did so great was it had less release issue then xbox. Not if they found a way to release console early and do all the testing so it does not have issue i myself like PC vs console but if i would buy a new console it would be ps4 seeing how the last one i got was ps2 and i always enjoy PS games more then wii,xbox anyways.
