Marriage Partner Hookup Megathread!

Why does men have to creep on ladies and have to be irl with them? I already talked to amnesiac and shes damn cool. I would suggest people try talk to her, however shes a fun and person who loves to joke around, so people who Get offended shouldnt try. Love how men approached her already, too many seem desperate. Poor ladies.

I stated I would prefer another girl. This does not mean I am entirely opposed to a guy. Besides, part of the reason I am doing this is to make friends, so the more the merrier (unless they're like the person I referenced).

I'm no psychologist or psychiatrist, but I think that has to do with the general player base of this game. I have witnessed far too many people using this MMORPG as an online dating site, and would advise against it or to at least proceed with caution. Marrying in-game for virtual content and to make a friend is one thing, forming a successful relationship over an online game is something entirely different. Nine times out of ten it's a bad idea, but that's speaking from my observations of about a dozen situations.

Anyways I'll setup up my application I guess:

Server: Moogle
Willing to transfer?: Maybe
Personal Interests: Music, games, extreme sports, gym, tv shows and movies. I'm into all type of music, as long it pleases me, I'm okay with it.
Play schedule: I'm 6 hours ahead of EST, so I'm around very random (depends on work etc and other stuff) so all from 6 am est to 10 pm est etc.
What kind of gamer are you: Midcore player?
Character Gender: Male and male
Do you care if the player in real life is not the same gender as their character?: It be cool to play with a female, just because it would be a bit different, in terms of I already play with alot of guys, but however, I want one thats chill and not too serious and can have a laugh or two. Joke a lot etc, have some great humor could be great.
Character Race: Highlander male
Preferred Race: Any race but lalafel.
Main class?: WAR/MNK
Dislikes: Over sensetive people, people who take things too serious and would whine about anything.
Goals for the game: Have fun and clear new content that's about to show up.
Goals for the marriage union: A person I could talk on ps4 chat or skype/discord whatever. I play the game on pc but can use ps4 chat if someone really want's to use that instead. Just do random stuff together, talk on voice chat be pretty cool too!
Etc: I consider myself as a funny guy who likes to have a blast. I like to talk and talk about different things besides just the game. I'm also not a creeper so don't worry about that. Yeah I also play other games like overwatch, etc, so if you and I have some other games we both own, we could also play that!

Not really, I still contacted her and shes like a person I could easily spend hours talking random stuff to, trash talk and memes etc. Hard to find a person like that, so I was very surprised how laidback she was, too many people take things too serious and it bore my mind.

I wouldn't go so far as to say its a bad idea overall.
It can be problematic and it usually comes down to not keeping expectations in check, probably because of maturity in most cases.

I don't really blame players who use the game as their dating site - there are way too many stories about game relationships turning into RL ones. No, it's not common, it's insanely rare. Yet desperate people do desperate things. Ironically if they were not pushing so hard maybe they actually could achieve what they are looking for.

It's important to understand that the game isn't a single player game. It's a multiplayer game. As such the RL is bound to more or less affect the in-game interactions. There are also many steps between the in-game and RL. Some players consider RL anything that is outside the game - for example chat/facebook/skype etc. - while others may think that only face to face interactions are considered RL.

Now for the proving your RL sex thing... I don't understand the issue. If you admit you are male/female then where is the harm to say few words over the voice chat? (There might be unrelated issues - for example my pronunciation sux so I am in no hurry to talk over voice chats ^^ - but in my opinion it's better to be honest about the cause of your behavior). It may be just a game, but we need to consider people's feelings. Trust is a really nice thing, but the uncertainty could potentially harm the relationship - people are naturally and rightfully afraid that others on the Internet could lie to them. Imagine that you would develop feelings for a person and then found out that they are not what they said or what you thought they were - be it sex, age or whatever - that could be devastating and so it's fine to limit the risk of this. I doubt that anyone would be happy to find out that their supposedly middle-aged male eRP partner was an underage girl iRL etc.

So yeah, we have to be careful when dealing with people's feelings and the more honest you can be (and the less doubt there is about what you say) the better.

I know ERP (in-game and even demands for ERP in voice) happens but not on whim (how many I Had to slap back in place) as I said to someone I am not a rabbit nor a cat in need you know, I know voice happens and yep it would..but not when you demand it.

Should we ask a copy of the ID too to be sure that we are not dealing with a minor? Wouldnt that make more sense then hearing a voice ? Never seen this happen though. When is it too much and when is too little ?

in short DEMANDING anything from anyone is just plain wrong. You are on internet you know you can be lied to. I cant count how many times people have lied to me but is not like I didnt know or better said wasnt prepare to it, whoever is wearing pink glasses is surely going in front of a desilusion and a high one, if you want to protect yourself, then dont try to have relationships and more so trying to start a Relationship on line to be brought over in IRL, sure you could meet in IRL just to see the face but unless you have been working hard and very hard at it for a long time, is only a virtual Relationship with a small tie in RL that is called friendship or acquaintance.

Bah....this being said I still look for that one....(Yeah I like dreams..).....
