The current talk about LB reminds me of a little story.
I'm usually not the guy who uses the LB - I play BLM or bard most of the time, sometimes healer, rarely tank, but almost never melee DPS - so I remind melees to use it.
So, I did trial roulette on my bard and got Ravana. The LB bar eventually filled up to level 3, but nobody used it, and as I knew Ravana would switch to his attack mode in a few seconds, I writ "LB". Then I checked the party list - the other DPS were a machinist, a summoner and a BLM. LOL. Next things the party has seen from me were a short "Oh wait xD" and thousands of shiny golden arrows raining on Ravana. Bard LB rulz :3

Found a wild Kallistra in expert roulette today, which I got to pet. Not quite as soft and fluffy as a wild Selli but just as nice and pleasant. :D My static drg got comically whiny as I split my cards, usually I feed them all to him as we're used to the other dps performing poorly when we do roulettes together.

Later I queue for lv60 roulette as blm w/ my friend and we got a very annoying sch with long macros for protect and e+e (and a REALLY long raise macro that they hit by accident at some point). On one of the pulls I pulled aggro on something the tank missed, then that mob went on the sch, who brought it to the tank. Not a big deal but afterwards the sch suddenly went on a rant about how they HATE healers who pull aggro on mobs and run around everywhere in a panic. And they also got salty at me for putting e+e on the tank, saying only they were allowed to do that. It was baffling.

When melee dps, I use it as soon as all the bars are full.

He didn't do it as an accident though. He did he twice throughout the dungeon lol

I nicely told him the first time Paladins are not suppose to limit break in a dungeon...and certainly not during a trash pull.

Then he popped it again the split second the LB sound chimed a second time (needless to say..I never spent so much time killing the boss in Tam Tara Deepcroft).

I am chalking it up to him being new. It was no biggie...but I have a feeling if the rest of the group weren't nine days old, that poor guy would have had an ear full

Had a close call in The Vault yesterday. I main PLD but have been leveling up DRG lately and got The Vault in my leveling roulette. It was me DRG, a BRD, DRK and a newbie WHM. No wipes on the first boss and it goes pretty smooth. We wiped once on the second boss and had to explain the mechanics to the WHM. No biggie. We wiped twice on the third boss which made the BRD rage quit. WHM apologies for being bad and I try to say it's okay since it's their first time there and practicing. A BLM joins and we wipe one last time him and almost wiped the time we got him. We got him down to about 17% when the WHM died to the horses so we quickly got him to about 14% and I LB and got him right when the DRK died. Was close but fun.

I wonder if he realized LB is party wide, verses individual as they are in previous Final Fantasies.

I've got told off for using a rage pom the other day in PotD, floor 36, having 3 rage getting dusty waiting for some fun.

I was on my alt, she was levelling sch and trying to get Padjali weps, and got matched with a blm, a whm and another dps which I can't remember now. Now, I've farmed that place on my main so much that I got sick and bored of it. All minions, the mount, all the weapons I wanted, and still selling tier 5 materia from the left over sherds, that's how much I farmed that place. I even levelled mnk from 51 to 60 in there ._.

So, my alt goes in, everything is fine and silent, we hit floor 36 and I notice 3 rage poms in our inventory. And I LOVE turning into a manticore, normally I don't get many chances, other people always use it before me, so I popped a fortune and BOOM off I went giggeling.
The blm in the party: "why..."
I'm still giggeling and having tons of fun blasting things around me and when I realized what he said, my heart sank.
"Why what?" I said.
"Why waste a rage..."
"Cause we had 3?"
And then they all just went telling me how bad I did popping it, that rages are only used on the last floors, and how I wasted the run now. I asked "but what if we get another rage? a 4th?", the other healer replies "then we use one", and that just killed it for me. I said "well that would be a waste for me" and the whm replied "how is that a waste?". So I just left. The thought of keeping 3 rages there, not using them until the last 3 floors, but also cleaning let's say said floor 36, no mobs at all or maybe 3 mobs left, pop last coffer, get a 4th rage, use one rage for um... 3 mobs, then get the chest... my whole world was a lie?

And I never heard of that rule these guys had before. Either you save one for last floor or when shit hits the fan, or you say beforehand what you like to do with it (use 3 rage on the last 3 floors if you want). Or you just use them as you go, like standard parties in there.
Also, making such a big deal of it baffled me. Not only it killed all the fun I was having, but also it confused the heck out of me.

Trust me, I agree, but (as evidenced by this thread) some people aren't the brightest crayons in the box.

Hullbreaker Isle (Hard): Tank leave after first pull. Well, I and 2 dps (drg, blm) only continue and finish that without tank o.o

Nobody asked, but i don't think we need to keep reminding someone about using LB. And lastly, at 5% ifrit's hp, ifrit should've been dead before the LB lv 3 has been casted..

Another vent

I just had a Halatali run as a whm with DRK, mch, and brd.. The tank liked to pull 2-4 packs of mobs at a time with only using a single or two unleash leaving DPS and me tanking the mobs halfway the fight. On the first boss, BRD tanked the boss, while MCH tanked the 2nd and i tanked the last one..
