Some suggestions, mostly quality of life, obvious things

I know this is much better than it was in beta, but for the love of god improve the user interface speed. Allow players with mouse/keyboard to USE THEM properly. We should not have to confirm every single shuffling of items..or choose quantities.

If we drag and drop 4 materia, then move all 4. When crafting food from ingredients on my retainer it is AGONIZINGLY SLOW and takes more time to take out/put away the ingredients than it does actually crafting...

Also, allow us to craft (in sanctuaries) as if our retainer inventory was in our pockets.

I recently went back into Guildwars 2 and was just blown away how smooth everything in the UI is. Strictly comparing UI and usability, it puts this game to shame really.

I don't see this one on the list:

Could we please not be presented with an option to lot on items that we cannot win? Why do I have to click "Pass" if the system knows I already have one of a unique item? It should just skip me altogether on that lot, or automatically give me a 0 on the lot, and grey it out with the "you already have one of those" message in the box.

Also, I would like to be able to see how many inventory slots are being used by my retainers and how much gil they have on them more easily (perhaps beneath their names when you click on the bell). Something like
"Retainer name, Selling XX items, Inventory 169/175, Bank 1,456,789G"

Yeah, please bring back auto AFK kick, when you gotta wait in a queue of players, only to find out there are 200+ AFK this is quite ridiculous, it needs to come back ASAP.

PLEASE add a decline option to friend request windows or change the negative answer to an automatic decline.

As it is now, the window asks if you want to add the person to your friends list and allows you to answer with a yes or no. Answering no leaves the notice on screen until you open your friends list, navigate to the bottom of it, find the person, remove them and then I think even confirm the removal.

It's a huge hassle when I've already made it clear that I don't want this person on my friends list. There is literally no reason to have the no answer leave the request active as far as I can figure out. If people really love opening and closing their notices without losing them, add the decline as an extra option for those odd balls but I really think it makes much more sense to simply change the answers altogether to add and remove options outright.

Please, please do this, SE.

On a side note, I'd also love it if someone being on your friends list (either really on there or just the temporary version you get from unaccepted friends requests) did not block them from being added to your blacklist and instead automatically deleted their request/presence on your friends list. RMT'ers are using this again to make it hard to block them, going through the above mentioned hassle to remove them before you can block them, and if they're fast enough they can keep themselves locked in your friends list until a GM can deal with them.

I think that would be a more complex thing than simply enabling a decline friends list button from my first suggestion above but figured it was worth mentioning anyhow.

Armoury Chest II. Make it happen...

We should have enough Armoury Chest space to accommodate the maximum number of gear sets we can have (so don't bother pointing out things like Artisan's set, not when SEs answer to their awful Glamour system is "Obtain it again to have two different Glamours!"); 10 sets of PvE gear for Jobs, 8 sets of crafting gear, 3 sets of gathering gear, 10 sets of PvP gear for Jobs - 31 sets to push into 25 slots for a game which main draw is "You can level everything on one character".

It's been asked for time and time again. Not just after a wipe but when an instance starts also. So when my DF queue pops and I change class before hitting "Commence", my stuff is up. As a MNK this would be amazing for Perfect Balance!

It'd be nice if we could freely switch between a gathering class to a battle class without all your abilities on cool down. We can switch between a battle class to a gatherer with no penalty but not in reverse.

Can we expand the Armoire to just store any equipment now? If not any, just increase what can be put in there (Augmented AF, Mythology AF, raid gear, unique dungeon drops, etc. etc.)... I am pretty sick of my Retainer effectively being a living wardrobe solely because I look at most gear in this game and go "This is nice, but it took me forever to get so I'm sure as hell not exchanging it in case I want to glamour it later". A vanity system like glamours is only half finished so long as there's no where to actually store the options, in my opinion... Really isn't helped by the fact that Retainers deal with sales on the Market Board, meaning anything I'm selling gets taken down temporarily when I want to go through my wardrobe...

I'm pretty sure that's so that you can't use gatherer's Stealth to sneak up on enemies to attack them. ROG/NIN is supposed to be the only battle class who can Hide like that.

I agree with your suggestion in any case, but in regards to this particular issue, I'd like to see a change where it's only when we select the "sell items" option from our retainer that the MB listings are taken down, instead of always taking them down whenever the retainer is summoned. I, too, spend a lot more time going through my retainers' inventory or even on their equipment, than on their MB listings.

Can we send our Retainers off on multiple Ventures at once please?

For example, I can send off my Retainer on a 40 minute Venture to obtain 60 Wind Shards for 1 Venture. Allow us to instead pay them X Ventures to multiply the time required and rewards, so I could pay 10 Ventures to send them off for 400 minutes to bring back 600 Wind Shards.

His suggestion truthfully changes nothing in that though. With exception for the not being required to stand next to the bell every hour to resend the retainer out. Time taken for the 600 shards, whether done manually or by the suggested form would in theory be very similar. Just a whole lot less tedious.

What "cooldown"? I can send my Retainers off on another Venture the moment they get back from the last. If you mean the time it takes them to do a Venture, reread my example because I don't think you understood it.

Like Fornix said, it's solely about making things less tedious by removing the bell camping currently involved. It would also perhaps be nice to send them off for multiple things using the same system; Just combine the Venture cost and the time they take on the Ventures. It would still cost the same amount of Ventures and they'd spend the same amount of time off on Ventures, the only difference is the removal of slight delay in collecting one Venture and sending them off on the next. They could add an extra Venture cost to balance that out I suppose...

That "bell camping" is mainly about making sure you're actually in the game. There would need to be some way of ensuring that you couldn't just keep them out on hourly ventures 24/7.

Maybe your suggestion would work if they added a rule that as soon as you either log out or go AFK, it automatically cancels all future ventures, so they just finish the one they're already on and then stop until you send them out again. But they'd need some way to make sure players couldn't circumvent the automatic AFK detection and stay logged in continuously.

So what if I could set my Retainer to go off and farm 600 Shards while I log off and go to sleep, that isn't really a balance issue because right now during the day I'd just have them do that anyway. Only difference is one method is annoying and the other isn't. Either way I'm going to send my Retainer off for 600 Shards, the current system is just simply an inconvenience to the player since it breaks up whatever you're currently doing with resending a Retainer. Like I said at the end of my last post, they could simply balance it out by increasing the Venture cost to "pay" for the convenience.

It is a balance issue, because right now you can only do it during the day (or whichever timeframe you're actually playing). If you could keep them out 24/7, that's far more total ventures they could complete than they can now. The venture reward levels weren't designed for retainers who could complete that many of them.

And you're quite literally going out of your way to skirt around my posts to avoid the method I proposed to balance the convenience; Raising the Venture cost. Using up more Ventures means spending more time in game earning Ventures (through whatever means) in order to spend. Same goal but a method which actually has me playing the game, rather than watching/playing something else and checking in every 40 minutes to reassign a Venture.

Since it looks like crafting materials are here to stay in dungeons, can we have the option of exchanging them for their value (or a portion of) in their respective tomestones?

Maybe a better way would be to allow us to summon ventures anywhere with a personal bell, but limit functions. For ex. It could be called a Venture Bell. You can only use it to summon retainer to go on a venture or to check in from a venture to collect rewards that get sent retainers inventory. You can't touch the inventory at all, just send and receive ventures.

1- can we get new summons for summoners like ramuh and shiva .

2- can we get new spells for blms like thunder (not dot one ) and winds and be real spells cuz how comes fire hurt ifirt while he fire elemant made . And put elements rotation in the mind like water > fire > wind > thunder > earth .

3- are we going to see war as dps ?

4- is there new fix for GCD in the system ?

5- is it going to be pets fight in the game soon?

6- can we skip the GCD for using potions in the fight and lower it CD?

7- can we use /tell in duty? cuz we used to make Ls me and wife to chat in duty .

1. When the level cap is raised to 60 in the expansion pack next year, SMN will get new summons. It has not been specified which they will get however. Leviathan, Ramuh and Shiva are 3 missing egis for 2 5 level ability slots.

2a. Not likely to get wind (that's Aero, a CNJ spell line).

2b. The elemental wheel was purposely removed. They considered elemental strengths and weaknesses to be too complex so removed them completely instead of just simplifying the system (there were two wheels at the time, astral and umbral). It's very unlikely we'll see any sort of elemental weakness system return while they're still in the simplification mind frame.

3. Not WAR as a DPS, it is a tank. We may however see a MRD (the axe wielding class WAR comes from) based DPS in the future, or an axe wielding DPS in general in the future. That has neither been confirmed nor denied, it's simply a possibility.

4. They like the GCD the way it is.

5. They're bringing in something like this in the expansion next year however it isn't pets, it's airships.

6. Again, they like them the way they are. Feedback has been forwarded to the devs about this numerous times however.

7. Not likely, they think it leads to harassment and abuse and the like. Just keep using your private LS.

When crafting something and needing to craft some materials for that recipe we need to go and search that material recipe. It would be nice if you could go from main recipe to material recipe directly.

honestly I'd like to see this beeing implemented: ATM When your on the 'select your Retainer'-menu, after having acessed one, you need to go all the way out of your Retainer menu to get access to the other. Please fix it so that you don't totally exit the Retainer menu and then have to reopen Retainer menu when switching from one Retainer to the other. It annoys me to no end cause I only have 2 Retainers but sorting items between them takes ALOT of time cause I get 'kicked' from the meny where I select my Retainer in question.

I just want the developers to add Speech-bubble, it feels so bizarre when someone get close to me, say something and nothing happens in Eorzea, it feels like we communicate via telepathy. (pardon my english)

One thing I'd like to see implemented sometime down the road would be give NPCs short but audible phrases/interjections during those unvoiced cutscenes during quests. I've always thought that certain cutscene were really quiet and dull - but just adding simple things like 'Ah-hah!' or 'Mmm-Hmm..' when they an NPC is agreeing or 'Uh-Uh..' when they are disagreeing would add huge production value to this already incredible game.
I understand it may be a lot to ask to bring the main scenario voice actors to record more lines; but in the case of unnamed NPCs, the sound files are literally already in-game, it's just a matter of utilizing them. And, if it ever gets annoying for whatever reason, you can always make it possible to toggle it on/off from the menu :D

mount actions really need to not change the hotbar to the pet hotbar. It's infuriating, as I keep my DoH/L mounts on hotbar 1

I need to be able to delete stuff directly from the retainer's inventory. I don't get why this is not an option at this point in the game.

There is a first time bonus given on every class / job for a hest that hasn't been completed when you select it in the duty finder

I personally would like a "Used" status added to item descriptions of one time use items. I'm aware that they added a notice when attempting to buy these things (just the other day), however you don't actually get that notice unless you're in a position to complete the sale. For instance, I don't know what materials I need to make/buy for certain crafting books because I can't tell which of them I have unless I go and get the things needed to buy them and then try to buy them and see if I get told I can't or if the sale goes through. Why they implemented it in such a way truly baffles me... It should have been clearly visible in the description from the start.

You can see this already.
When you look at the rewards, any guildhests not yet done on your current class will have a completion bonus next to the normal rewards. (If you have done them, it will show only the normal exp and gil it will reward, if you have yet to do them on your current class a second exp and gil reward will appear next to that)

So many good and relevant suggestions and my only suggestion is to call the next quest involving Chocobo "Chocobro." xD

What about the possibility of searching the market board for specific retainers?

For anyone who wants to be a loyal customer, anyone who wants to sell a collection of related things, organised sales, etc, the ability to look for stock offered by a retainer you're familiar with or have customers look through specifically your stock can be very handy.

Sometimes you want a search engine result, sometimes you want to go to your favourite site first; same deal but on the in game market boards.

Slightly related to my last request but still quite different...

Can our "search for item" in our own+retainer inventories also search the items our retainers have up for sale?

I often find that I've got partial stacks of the same item up for sale on multiple retainers by accident simply because the search results didn't tell me the others were already up. Other times I've bought an item that was on sale on my own retainer just a few lines lower down. With 20 slots per retainer of random items it can be hard keeping track of what's where.

It may be a tiny thing but if the game tells me the item isn't in my retainer's inventory, that really should could selling inventory as well.

Be able to view ALL guidleves/hest rather than just 3 at a time. this would make the animu books portion So much easier rather than relying on a guide and then being forced to do one guildhet/leve to hopefully do the one we need

Being allowed to glamour from armoire/retainer without having ti withdraw the items

Some information that we can see on mini-map isn't shown on on toggled map , so I have 2 suggestions - to make possible to turn mini map on of with some key (like we turn on off big map on ps4 with 'square' button) or to make minimap to be shown on main map like a small circle in the center , thank you ,
P.s. I recently hid mini map and moved my map to the right corner , so I came out with that idea .

I would really like the ability to change a Free Company name, at least once.
Our FC was founded pretty quickly, not long after we joined the game.
We currently have over 300k credits, Rank 8, and a Mansion in a server where pretty much every house is sold... On top of at least 2 pages of personal rooms.. We can't exactly restart our FC without a ton of backfiring.
However our name doesn't really suit what kind of FC we are, and we would really like a new name.
I'm sure this can be somehow possible since character name changes are possible, it's not like I'm asking for it to be free, or often.. Just the ability to change your FC name /once/ or, once within a given period of time, or cost a certain amount of gil, or even money..
Just the option would be nice =/
