The main reason why I hate this MSQ is not because it was badly written. Which it was.
Its because it treats you like a 12-year old with goldfish memory. Hammering morals at you, that you already got with the first iteration and then having the gall to play the story / music and everything like a badly written saturday morning cartoon series with shonen anime flare.
Not only does this RUIN any seriousness to treat this world with.
Btw "hopping to the end of the universe, farting out primals with a spaceship that Sharlayan JUST HAPPENED TO BE BUILDING WITH LOST TECHNOLOGY" also did this to me.
I think the space exploration has a chance to ruin it too, if other people start farting out spaceships out of nothing, graduating the whole planet into space technology, because some bookish nerds apparently discovered allagan tech that nobody else has figured out so far and that was "oh so mysterious" but because plot, Sharlayan.
IT RUINS ANY SERIOUSNESS that the other expansions tried to build up. The comedy was well timed, it served a purpose, it wasn't magical Y'shtola girl for fan service out of nowhere that is ABSOLUTELY NOT HER CHARACTER. What happened to this game and what is wrong with the writers.
