Im shocked,awed, and amused that we found out the details on jump back on page 38 and this thread is still growing. First it was asking for a filter because it was thought to be just an emote then we found out itll be used like other mmos then it got even deeper into figuring out how out of place it would look for a lalafell to jump the same height as say a elezen. The madness doesnt end. My theory is when the 7th umbral era concludes and 2.0 begins dalamud releases a magical energy of Shatotto's trapped in dalamud long ago that gives lalafell all around the world the long forgotten magic art of jumping at the same height as the other races.:rolleyes:

And yes, you are using the phrase wrong. 'Rose tinted glasses" and "Nostalgia goggles" infer that I am looking at FFXI and seeing a perfection of form without flaws. Which is quite untrue. As for my own agenda for tails. That is something I personally feel strongly about since SE saw fit to lead me on and targeted me as the core audience during their initial launch. Now that the deed is done all I want to see is the proper dues paid. Such as presenting the transposed Galka race in their original light.

I went 5 years without leveling NIN sub and I did just fine; even when I did level it, whether I was on DRG or DRK, I never used it (not to mention I even changed the views of a dozen DRGs that thought /nin was all they needed). Hell, the only reason I leveled it was to tank at 75 and to sub it for my... WHITE MAGE!

I never leveled PUP, but it was quite useful wherein the player was at least skilled enough to utilize it, endgame-wise or level-wise. But hey, I bet you also believed DRK accuracy sucked also and that DRG was useless without the wyvern.

I never leveled PUP, but it was quite useful wherein the player was at least skilled enough to utilize it, endgame-wise or level-wise. But hey, I bet you also believed DRK accuracy sucked also and that DRG was useless without the wyvern.

How was it useful exactly? Give me an example where it excelled. And no I don't think DRK accuracy sucked, they just sucked without an apoc. DRGs have always been mediocre without the Mythic.

As I thought.

For a DRG like myself, I had a 6hit Penta-TP set with 18% haste and 95% accuracy as /sam, and almost had a full healing breath set (all I needed was Homam and one other piece perhaps). Not only was I one of the few, if not the only, DRG to solo Greater Colibri at 10k/hr or greater, I did it with only a Thalassocrat as my best weapon, I was also main-healer in my merit parties which I gathered myself, and I was DPS/healer throughout endgame (though I've also tanked Kirin periodically).


I hit 95% accuracy on DRK with my Moliones's combination (which I personally went out to achieve, mind you), and I didn't even have much endgame gear. Of course I also easily had a 6hit TP set and the same 18% haste set as with my DRG.
