Couple things we did worked to get rid of that error. We disabled the 'out of the box' turned on XBOX app that Windows 10 comes with. It has an overlay that caused issues.
Also disable any overlays, including Discord.
And the worst part - we had to install the game on the main drive of the computer.
After that the errors stopped. Start with the easy stuff obviously.
Hope that helps.
Yesterday on release was fine once i logged in but today i started getting 90002...
And after getting 90002 and back in queue i get 2002 so back to queue all over again...
Getting so tired of having to deal with this error. It's been happening for years literally every single time I come back to this game regardless of where I'm playing the game from or my ISP. Every single time it happens it's when I'm Entering or Exiting a new instance and it kicks me out with a 90002 error message and it just happens completely randomly. Nothing I change stops this from happening.
There is always packet loss on the 11th to 12th node hope from me going from
ae-3.r24.asbnva02.us.bb.gin.ntt.net
to
ae-2.r24.snjsca04.us.bb.gin.ntt.net
where my ping also goes from 17MS to 90MS on the same hop which is OUTSIDE OF MY NETWORK.
Tossed out again just now with the same issue on Cactuar
The issue is compounded tenfold now that you don't even get to keep your position in the game but have to re-queue with 4000 other people every time NTT's servers shit themselves.
I was having more disconnects when trying to load into a new area (especially crowded) when my HD was going out. It might not be your issue but maybe try a different drive (preferably SSD).
What software are you using for this? Other than the 2002 errors in queue, I hadn't really dealt with anything else until today, when I've had a ton of server lag, and both my wife and I have gotten slapped with 90006 errors. Her just walking around an area, me in an Endwalker trial.
Yep, I'm having it too.
Some side-affects that always happens when I'm about to get a 90001 disconnect.
- I am not able to send or receive new LS, FC, party, and raid chat
- I am still able to send and receive /say chat, I assume this work because its handled by the game
- During this time, I can play the game normally without any noticeable or obvious lag
- I always disconnect within 10m and rarely it has gone up to 20m once or twice
- I am always able to get back in immediately not having to wait for my character to timeout, which suggest that the server disconnected me rather than my connection just dropped
Some speculation,
- I noticed this started happening when the data center moved from Montreal, but it could be a coincidence
- I suspect I lost connection to a chat server (if that's how they've organized it) and the game disconnects me after realizing I don't have a connection to it, otherwise I can't explain why I can play the game normally for up to 20m and just suddenly disconnect
EDIT: I should note that this has been an ongoing problem; not due to the EW server congestion. This is not an issue that has just happened, but has been happening since possibly HW.
Greetings fellow Eorzean,
We apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced with server congestion on Final Fantasy XIV. Due to the recent early access period for Endwalker and the upcoming full release, we are experiencing an extremely high surge in player base which may result in long queue times and possible connection based errors. We are aware of this inconvenience and have addressed it in the following Lodestone post:

We appreciate your patience and understanding regarding this matter.
