Kind of the point I guess.
Rare gear should be rare, and earning it should be based on valor and victory in battle. What if HNMs didn't pop...but assaulted Ul'dah on some random time frame...(when they felt they had sufficient strength of numbers vs PCs and could maybe wipe us out). And the massive group of mobs and the HNM poured through one of the passages our of northern Thanalan - or poured out of any of the caves that go nowhere really. And made their way south to Ul'dah trying to slaughter every PC in sight.
Those adventurer's that don't turn and flee, but instead turn to face the HNM and engage, and turn him back so that he flees tail between his legs back to the north are victorious and well rewarded.
But maybe those outside the city fall, and he keeps rampaging through into town and starts slaughtering crafters outside bric-a-brac left and right. If it gets to the point of really wiping the whole map, then the Azemya's sheilds ride to the rescue and save or sorry rears or some such.
Please...think outside the box about what you really want this game to be. It might take work and thought by the dev team, but that's what I want them to do.
Well hopefully SE realizes the amount of people who would actually want to camp 24 hour NMs is an extreme minority. This isn't FFXI-2. I camped HNMs in FFXI, I've had enough of that archaic system. There is nothing special about waiting for spawns. End game encounters should be about the encounter itself not being forced into a massive time sink. I'm fine with not being able to obtain gear because I or my linkshell is not good enough to kill a boss, I don't care about being a unique snowflake but everyone should be able to attempt the encounters. 24 hour spawns are asinine, especially when chances are you probably won't get claim on top of shit drop rates, fuck that nonsense.
No one is telling you to do this to camp NMs. You play just as much as I do.
Yeah I can and haven't seen anything. Do you read what I post? Because it doesn't seem like it. Seems like you're a troll.
Um, guess you didn't see the vid of goblin. It's ok. And no I don't think you play the game.
Who cares about your silver tricorne +1? You get 4 of them a drop. Every person in my LS has one and a dodore doublet. It's a dime a dozen dude. The NMs are a joke, they are no measure of skill unless you're doing it solo/duo.
And if I was crafting like that why would I only be 49 leather? LOL
If you haven't noticed MMOs are s'post to be time sinks. Not something you beat in 40 hours and get a THE END screen.
18~30 hr (random) respawn rate will create more feeling in hunting imo
Harder (hardcore hard) NM possibly with special event-battle not just tank-spanking (based on NM's i watched on youtube)..
respawning minions might be fun
or free for all NM..loot goes to party with highest DPS?(8 man parties)..free for all NM = REALLY pain in the ass hard
Last, the loot must be an armor/weapon or some special equipae item and not just a material.. Boss drop should be > craft items
24hr spawn time? ur such a noob. pros know its a 72hr spawn time for it to be a real NM. that takes real skill.
And that's the problem, you seem to think you know what's good for others, casual players like challenging content as much as the hardcore, but they just don't want to be chained to their computer to do it.
Time doesn't = skill and its time you "elite" players realised that.
Woah this is another thing right here. If things are all crafted like the current NM drops it leads to people wanting another drop to get +1, +2. Pretty lame. :| EX/rares are needed besides onion set :P
Odds are if someone has played a game 10 times longer than you they're going to be better at it. It's logic.
wow calm down. sign my mousepad pro
They have pretty much said that dungeons will offer untradeable gear, but i guess thats too lite for you.
There are many people I know from both WoW and FF11 who could disprove this.Quote:

In fact I have met quite a few people in this game with rank 50 classes and still don't know simple game mechanics.
