To paraphrase what everyone says in the housing complaint threads: you're not entitled to a relic. However, you can take solace in that at least doing the Hildebrand quests is possible.

"Long"?
Oh I miss the old MMO community where people actually enjoyed playing the game instead of having everything handled in a golden plate.
Yeah honestly, I'm biased here because I love the Hildibrand quests, but I am soooo tired of every quest just ragging on Geralt for being drunk and useless when he's not being a brilliant crafter and having a crush on Rowena who clearly cares about him but like ughhh I like the characters but the humor just is not even a little bit funny to me anymore, I'd literally rather see Gerolt get his crap together as an entire plotline than deal with one more crappy joke at his expense at this point. Hildy's quests are absurd and ridiculous but they're infinitely more fun for me than that.
If you say that having to do Ivalice was not as bad because you should have already done it: The exact same can be said for Hildibrand. If you had already done them when they came out you would not have to do anything new to unlock this questline when it drops.
But just as people have not done Hildibrand, others have not done Ivalice.
Ivalice is also more than just a few raids (and I am not really sure how much you can unsynch them) because it also has quite long cutscenes. Someone on reddit did the Hildibrand quests on an Alt character to see how long they take and she needed around 2 hours. So 2-3 hours max if you skip the cutscenes. I really doubt that Ivalice is much shorter. Heck I believe that with the raids themselves you can take much longer too, especially if you have to wait as a DD.
About the expedition zone: Only half of the existing relic questslines have them. Just because we had two expansion in a row with new zones for it, does not mean that its something that we can realistically demand for each one afterswards. It really depends on what the devs have planned. This expansion we will get our own big private island. That alone is a zone itself. On top of that we get new dungeons with different paths. There might have simply not be enough time left to also make new zones for the relic quests too.
And there is also a chance that they simply looked at the numbers of people doing the old relics in those zones and decided that the money and time is better invested in something else. After all its only content for a rather small amount of players. (And people really did not like Eureka, at least here on the forum...but if I remember it right the Lucky Bancho also did not show great numbers too)
Ivalice doesn't 'need' to be done, it's entirely optional side content like Hildibrand is, you either do it or you don't, there is no consequence. I didn't even touch Ivalice until after it was announced as being a requirement for the relic.
"Half of the player-base doesn't even like said side content" is a very bold claim that you are making and one I would go out on a limb to say you don't have a shred of substantial evidence to support this.
Man, I may be one of those gosh darned zoomers but I'm willing to sit through wipes in Alliance Raids multiple times over doing a quest chain I'm really not interested in. It's why eventually people were weaned off of Job quests because they were forced onto people so much. Questing outside of MSQ is unengaging for me, but at least Eureka/Bozja had combat content in between.
You're complaining about people complaining... "Jesus, stop complaining, dude"!
What's with that tone? Need an afternoon nap? Jeez. I won't be doing it because I already had little reason to do Relics. Am I not allowed to say "wow, that's a kinda silly decision"? Oh, oops. I'm not.
