I am going to do digital upgrade as well since essentially it changes nothing about downgrading to standard and we have that 20 in our wallet to pay for just that. I just hope digital upgrade is available through PSN (and that no problems happen again, lol).

It only says that if you already purchased it. It says that on my Standard Edition. You have to buy the version you -didn't- buy before.

I bet you cannot upgrade to CE using that 20 in the PSN wallet, you could only spend that 20 for some other purchases in PSN, while you need to pay straight to SE for the CE upgrade via the mooglestation

It's 12:06am in my timezone, and the expiry date on the FFXIV services still say aug 23. The game is also still unavailable from the PS store. However, the date may be based on PDT. All I can really do is get up in the morning and see if there's any good news. If not, oh well. Really sucks I took a vacation day on Monday to get some extra play time in. SE/Sony has no way to pay that back to me.

how is it midnight for you? We here in the east in the us hit midnight first. So when it is midnight in California it will be 3 am eastern.

Canada has a timezone 1 hour ahead of eastern. GMT-4. It's actually a sweet timezone because everything goes by 4's. Pacific is 4 back, UK is 4 ahead, Japan is 12 ahead. Simple to remember ;)

A non troll lol : So I got off the phone with SCEA. apparently, FFXIV ARR version that you bought is supposed to be available to "repurchase" with your refunded money tomorrow morning at 5 AM PDT. I wound up just upgrading to the Collector's Edition and it's now working perfectly. I didn't even bother deleting the client from my HD. Just checked the services list and noticed an unexpired early access and unexpired Collector's Edition while the Standard Edition expired today.

Gonna pray that Sony rep knew what they were talking about. Either they are lying or the other ones people talked to were. To be honest, I found it very unlikely that they would not have some sort of workaround for us.

By the way, why 5am pdt? Seems like an odd time considering the game opens up at 2am pdt

I would imagine downgrading to Standard edition lets you proceed too, but I wanted the CE version. Not sure what to do... guess I'll decide in the morning.

I had an extra EA code laying around, redeemed it and now, my service account says Early Access starts the 23rd instead of ending on the 23rd. *Shrug* It's something to do till I'm able to re-purchase the CE.

Before I knew there would be a PSN Digital Download, I pre-ordered two copies at Gamestop. I gave one code away, but kept the other.

I got refund $59.99 in PSN. (from CE that I bought.) And all service of this game expired. (8/23) but I can't repurchase the CE version again. It's not available.
So, I decide to purchase Standard Edition instead of CE. Now, I can sign in and download new patch successfully.

At least, I can play Early Access. I'm hoping they will have an option to upgrade to CE with $20 later.

Ir already expired for all of you? I got the CE, after buying the standard what step did you take? Deleted the cliente and downloaded the new one? Or it just updated the same client?

Nope I used the same client I downloaded for CE order on the 14th. Only one i ever deleted was the phase 3 client right before phase 4 started.
