Just played the game not so long ago and already claim they are experts and most of them get carried by their fans
The worst ones are the ones that just rush to endgame so they can do ultimates and just follow callouts from robots.
Asmongold's character's perfect hair. Reject perfection, embrace the bald. :3
Tank stance.
Hildibrand. And his stupid parents too (one is a corrupt clown, the other a borderline psychopath and domestic abuser, but hey, it's all played for laughs so that makes it fine right?).
monk
those stupid and obligatory cutscenes in the middle of fights.
If that was to be done, why did they renovate the praetorium then? I left it the way it is, and made it all a big praetorium
Summoner.

Island sanctuary.. I mean cmon.. its basically WoW garrison all over again.
Remove the patch that took my Kaiten away. Ugh damn SE not listening to their player base, they're becoming Blizzard.
I want faeries removed from scholars, and take AQ as well.
It's not even in the game yet ! lol
WoW garrisons had many features people did like, watching that pot boil over- it however had many issues to which WoW was slow to address (or never did...). Like it caused havoc on the economy, and due to the war table needing baby sitting therefore siphoned a lot of players off the world space- neither of these concepts are unfixable.
The worst part about WoW garrisons is that it seems Blizzard left the content for dead, rather than consistently shaping it up - and given they've clearly the server technology (for sharding, instancing, and player data).. they missed a big opportunity telling players to go pound sand when it came to more housing specific desires.
I wouldn't argue if you said there are some shabby patches, but with the right murloc spit shine I strongly believe the system would be a well regarded one. Though I would still be in awe of Wild Star or other very high powered systems (to me the ability to change locations is quite cool, so even say ESO sparkles my eye a bit).
Wild Star meets up with Garrisons and has a brain child sounds like a really cool housing system.
-- On scholar --
I'm not a scholar player but I feel removing fairy would be... an unwelcome change. When their fairy selection was homogenized, self sufficiency reduced, and their DD kit hampered, I feel Scholars were largely most upset in that moment. Returning the greatness of their fairy therefore I feel would be a far more popular move (while also returning some more offensive creativity).
<3 lol
Fun fact: Knockback immunities interact with Rescue. Swiftcast/Arms Length prevents knock back and draw in effects, and apparently, Rescue is considered one of those. I guess WAR's Inner Release may be as well, haven't tested it.
Another Fun Fact: A Sage casting Rescue and immediately hitting Icarus, depending on latency, can quick switch places with another party member because the way Rescue has that lag (basically you're Icarus-ing to their position and then they're dragged over slowly to your starting position). Not in any way USEFUL, mind you, and more likely to just get you BOTH killed...but kinda funny how it works due to Rescue having that same stupid lag effect that Benediction does.

As to the OP...
...honestly, I'm not sure. I can think of a lot of things I'd like to add (more open world content, more variety of playstyle in various roles and Jobs [healers being the prime case], some more heavy grinds, some more challenging 4 mans, some harder 24/48 mans, something intermediate difficulty between normals and Extremes and I'd SAY Extremes and Savage, but P1S is basically that, so if they do that with every entry Savage boss of a tier - just having it be a scosh up from Extreme - that works...). But when it comes to things I would want REMOVED, and I'm not being sarcastic or referring to things people do that annoy...well, I'm not sure I can really think of anything, honestly. Though a few other people's suggestions were good (like being able to swap jobs in overworld combat to accept ques)
I also saw someone talk about removing crafting crystal reagents, and I'm against THAT, but it would be neat if there was some kind of interaction they had with the actual crafting somehow. I'm against removing old stuff. I still have some grade 4 (or 6?) Str/Int/etc Materia on one of my retainers and have kept a few of my old belts. XD

EDIT: Oh! I did think of something!!!
Remove how it takes like 4 button presses to get out of your Retainer interface. AND that it's not the same button.
On controller, I have to press B (cancel action) twice to exit the menu, but then I have to press A (or Start, I believe) to get out of the dialogue bubble that the Retainer talks before departing, but then have to press B (or Start) to get out of the FIRST menu.
I wouldn't even mind (as much) if I could just press B or Start 4 times, but I have to spam one button, then tap another, then spam the other, just to get away from the darn bell!
This frustrates me almost every time I do it.
And another thing: Crowd control in Frontlines. Either they need to be SEVERELY reduced in duration, there needs to be a stiff diminshing return, and/or Purify/Guard need to actually work. I've legit been under CC for up to 10 seconds before, having popped Purify in there somewhere only to go from Stun to the DNC seduce then, and then spamming Guard only for me to die, the bubble to activate on my dead body, and my dead body to be throw around like three times from enemies' (tanks) draw in things. I'd be one thing if Purify worked (removed status effect and made you immune) OR Guard worked (prevent status effects and knock-back/draw-in effects), and Purify in particular needs to be oGCD (press it then wait a full 2.5 sec before being able to press a heal or attac- oh look, now you're already dead!). Oh, and in the above scenario, I respawn with both Purify and Guard on CD, for all the good they did me.
...but there's just a perfect storm of being able to be indefinitely crowd controlled from 100% to dead and being unable to take ANY action, and that's just frustrating. I don't mind being rooted in games, I HATE being unable to take ANY OFFENSIVE, DEFENSIVE, OR RESTORATIVE ACTION AT ALL while the enemy completely kills me and I can't even put up a fight, defense, or try to draw it out with even a single heal to give my team time to intervene.
Wings.
They always look out of place yet they still spread like a disease.
I love the demon wing look, like Illidan from Warcraft universe (both his later corrupted form, and especially the metamorphosis), Amon from Shadow Hearts, most of the Devil Triggers from Devil May Cry, heck the most recent Dr. Strange movie, etc... And would honestly love a job in game that could do this (though given Reaper, rather than demon I'd say primal-esq would still fit the bill but also add more visual diversity, perhaps more specifically Zodiac-like, so it's even farther from summoner visuals). Would, love, it. Ideally there would be more than one form, with some sort of mechanic to encourage diversity (like how it appears FFXVI has more than one primal in the fights)- not everything needs wings..... I just like that imagery. For example I love the max fire demon in Shadow Hearts too.. So cool! (That form has no wings).
But I totally get it looking out of place in town if players could fill the screen with a bunch of big winged demons lol. Though in full blown 'towns' (instanced spaces)- I'd just suggest the mode either de-activates or more advanced but your character's form is reverted to humanoid with special effects to suggest something more is going on, like dark aura with Dark Knight but far less visually intrusive lol. When you leave the space you'd automatically return to form, this could be used for NPC dialog as well when out in the open world. Just have the transformation transition animation for this event not be too obnoxious so it feels smooth and this could also be a visual representation to what NPCs see so it doesn't really bother NPC / PC lore concepts.
For me the goofy mascot costumes are funny good fun (500th time in a dungeon, this outfit makes me laugh and might be a highlight).... until I'm doing MSQ content on my first time... and then I really hate them lol (really damages some of the moments for me as it goes from serious quality content to one of those joke-y anime like moments where even when something is serious.. it's not). Though I find trusts as an adequate solution (in 'most' situations), so at least I have a way to solve my problem.
glamour restrictions except AF gear - it's an old system and needs to go
Would loooove for the song in Ultima Thule to be removed. I loathe the constant singing.
I'd like to see dungeon trash mobs removed. Clearly no one likes them, given that they rush through instances as fast as their sprint and/or peleton will allow. Either get rid of them entirely or just have one big pack in front of each boss so that we don't have to endure the frustration of sprinting through most of the instance while still in combat. It's especially frustrating when a mob starts to do a long cast and suddenly fixates on a healer or a ranged DPS because the tank is no longer pulling any kind of aggro on it. It's not like it even drops XP or gold anymore.
I mean, you can disable the background music already. I'm pretty sure it's the BGM (Background Music) option in the sound settings in the system configuration. There's a screenshot right here: https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/game_manual/config/
Oh rest assured, I usually turn off the music if I'm there for any length of time (/bgm 0 is nice and easy). With that said, I enjoy having background music while playing, but I feel like it was a bad decision to pick a song with full-blown lyrics to play on repeat in a zone. IMO, it should have played while the MSQ was still active, and then swapped to an instrumental version once completed.
hair clipping
It's unlikely they'll include that among the absorbed plugin features, as they'd want to retain that art direction for each zone rather than leaving it to players to decide what music they want to put where.
The simpler fix for them is for the music to either just return to v2 (not muted, but no vocals) after completing the MSQ, rotate through all three versions (the last being the vocal version) after completing MSQ, or make the versions zone-specific (with v3 playing only in the parts after you'd have left behind where v2 played).
