I never post either; every time i visit these forums i end up getting pissed off at all the asinine trolling/complaining.

But i've wanted to say for a long time how appreciative I am towards Yoshi-P and his team. Never in my life have I seen such uncompromising dedication from a video game developer in the face of such adversity. As a long-time player of ffxi with many wonderful memories of that game I have held out hope that xiv would someday end up matching or even surpassing the magical experience that was vana'diel.

Great job thus far guys, I had fun the last year or so and the trailers for ARR look beautiful. Can't wait to get back into the action with my friends from Balmung!

On behalf of my brothers and the rest of the Dreamers of the Fayth LS (Excalibur), thank you for all your hard work, turning the game into what it was the last year was actually enough for us but you're going above and beyond. We are all VERY excited to play ARR. Also, I agree with everyone else, after release the team needs to take a nice vacation. just leaving a skeleton crew behind for server upkeep ^^.

I can't believe the almount of work Yoshi-P and the dev team have put forth since the initial disapointment of 1.0. For more than a year they made a game that was unplayable enjoyable while knowing that they were gonna scrap it completely. They worked so hard to keep our faith in SE and the entire FF franchise. I kept my faith in SE by investing in a computer that I could play the game on in all its glory. For a bit over a year I enjoyed 1.0 as much as I had time to play. Even with all its flaws I really enjoyed Earzea because it was so beautiful to me and the amount of detail was astonishing. I was able to accomplish a lot in the game in that year and that was only made possible by Yoshi-P and his team for giving us faithful players a game to play while they simultaneously worked on ARR. I can't imagine how demanding this task has been, it must be like fighting a war on two different fronts with two totally different enemies. It is a testament to the standard, pride, and reputation SE wants to maintain about its most loved franchise. Because of this type of commitment I never play any mmo or rpgs unless they have an SE logo on the box. Nothing ever compares imo. ARR will set a new standard. Other companies would just have given up a long time ago but they don't have people like Yoshi on their side. Lets also not forget that SE has not been making any profit from this project for over two years now, they even worked on this game through a major catastrophe. ARR will not be perfect, it will not please everyone, it may not even be great when it starts but all this will not keep us faithful from loving it regardless as we always love FF.

Yoshida-san embodies many of the qualities i respect in a game leader/developer. He is transparent, honest, wants feedback from players in order to change things accordingly, and knows what aspects make up a quality mmorpg.

He realizes that the best way to make a game a commercial success is by making it damn good, and he knows how to do this because he is an mmo player. Not by making a game hte way THEY want it to be, but by making it a game that a modern mmorpg player wants.

Hats off to Yoshi-P and his team for their hard work for us.
Here's to the start of an amazing game, community and world,
I'll see you in the New Realm, hopefully for many years to come.

Yoshi-P and his Team have all my trust, at least for me, the game is already a success, so it can only get better in my opinion. I have never seen a mmorpgs with so much diversity of environments and so many details. Playing it will be a magical experience for sure :)

Thank you for all the hard work and the awesome new content I love it. If your ever on I would love to do some dungeons with you guys.

Also I've noticed a lot if whiny people on the forums complaining about the changes and making everyone else unhappy is there anyway to kick these people out of the game so the supporters can have fun? I'm willing to pay a little extra on my account to not have whiny trolls ruin my gameplay if that helps

I've long since worried over Mr. Yoshida's health and the well being of the entire dev staff. I simply can not fathom even a little all the pressure they're under and how its effecting each of them. All my warmest thoughts and prayers to you Mr Yoshida! Please get well soon!

I'm a little late for this, buuuut..

I consider myself a hardcore gamer. I love video games from all platforms old and new. I love video games. I LOVE THEM!
With that said.

As I've stated before. This game has absolutely ruined all other games for me. I can't get this game off my mind. It's like when you get with a girl for the first time and all other girls look "blah" to you now. Even though before you were like "I'd totally tap that!" now you're just "Heh.. She's not all that good looking." I try to go play another game, but it's hard to even get into it because it's not FFXIV. It's like when you're hungry, but nothing sounds good. Not even pizza and pizza is your favorite junk food! After every weekend test I am impatiently counting the days to the weekend so I can play again. Most people count down the days to the weekend because they're ready to party and take a break from work. It's been the same for me, but a different kind of partying. (Booze is still involved) I am truly impressed the direction they have taken this game since 1.xx. Just about all my friends who wanted it have gotten into beta and they're all loving it too. Most of them are first time MMO players and they were waiting pre-order it until they got to play it first. Needless to say, they pre-ordered this weekend.

I want to get serious here for a minute and send a heartfelt thank you and good job to the dev team. I hope that they read these and see that their hard work is appreciated. I hope they get to take a nice vacation soon after release. I joke around a lot here, but I truly mean every word in this post.

Keep up the good work team and I hope everyone and their health is in good favor :D
