In all fairness, while people have left due to *insert reason here*, there has also been an influx of new players as well. In the last week we have had at least 4-5 players join our LS that have started recently and are (in fact) enjoying the game, plus I have met others that have just started as of P2P.

Since you are not playing the game anymore and cannot see this, you cannot state that there is no new blood entering the game.

As a paying player who is in the game and can see the player base; yes, there is new blood entering the game.

So no, your above comment is not a fact; therefore you make your point moot.

it's funny you say this when we could see population before the payment began and after payment started and the population has declined. yes, a few new people are coming into the game, but more are leaving than are coming in.

• They can't pay for it because of money issue;

Now tell me that you know about the whole situation, and if you do, bring in actual statistics about people leaving and why. Only then you can be credible.
At least Kai is saying what's happening inside the game, which you can't see because you don't want to pay/play. She has valid points to talk about and prove. "Leaving FFXIV" in fact means that you're completely leaving it, not being interested. That's why I grew mad about your post. Still, think about people that will come back at 2.0 or earlier. Saying that Now people are leaving doesn't mean that In The Future people will not come back. We might lose 100s of players, but we might gain those 100s, and that's part of what SE is aiming with FFXIV if they want money. It's risky to say that people have left the game and the population will steadily shrink. It's not certain, that's all.

Do you get it now? They might lose 100s of players now, but they might gain 1000s of players in the future if they play their cards right, so please don't give these uncertain assumption to people. Saying that "200 before and 150 now" bullcrap is not sufficient to prove that the game population will steadily decrease.

I can say this SE has never mentioned anything about merging servers. They would solve a lot of their population issues on the individual servers if they did this. It would also make us players a lot happier to have more people to play with.

If someone says there are no new people coming in, and there ARE people coming in how am I wrong? They never started how many, they never said there weren't enough coming in for it to be game saving. They said there were no new people coming in.

This is in fact wrong, therefore I am not wrong in my statements. If they wish to restate and say there are not enough people coming in to make a difference, or not enough to save it... etc, then yes they may be correct. But to flat out say there are no new people is not a correct statement.

Alot of that won't be coming until after 2.0 or will be introduced to the old world before 2.0 and then just brought over. I wish I could find the stinkin post where Yoshi talked about priorities and what not. I think it was one of the Dev letters. Sorry, I'm the lazy type that hates finding links XD I know it's around here somewhere. Yoshi gave us a projected skills list for the jobs. Most of what was in that list seemed like recycled content, while only a handful seemed to have been freshly programed skills. If I find where it's at i'll link it here in an edit.

It's tough to project financial success for an MMO that's had such a terrible start like this one has. History dictates that the first fiscal year is the most important one for an mmo. So while the game may stagger along, I find it tough to say that it's going to rise from the ashes like a phoenix and pull a 180 financially because that would require a miracle at this point.

That's why I said to not think of 2.0 as magical. Perhaps I should have said Miracle instead. 2.0 is in no way a miracle, but rather a step in the right direction. It's within the first 6 months of 2013 that miracles need to start happening if SE wants any shot at the financial gains they're expecting from this game.
