Petition to ban Moogle exploiters.

It's frightening to see more than half the people here can't see sarcasm when it's right in front of them...

Even with the combined luxuries of tone and body language in normal conversation, it can sometimes be difficult to know if a person's be sarcastic, and that's given that they know one another.

Making a new thread entirely devoted to sarcasm is idiotic in the first place. That's like saying, "Let's have a conversation, wait, I'm joking".

so many players posted to ridicule the OP, idk why, i get the feeling they're the players that utilized the exploit, and maybe feel threatened? idk -shrug-

Strategy is different than exploitation. RMTs bots and exploits will get caught sooner or later. Strategists, well done.

I'm pretty sure this is a case of ye olde "guys i was only joking" defense since no one agreed with him.

Go to tvtropes.org and look up "combat pragmatist" before you start deciding what is a legit kill. For all we know, SE intended the "exploit" to be there, seeing as it gives lower DPS parties a chance to complete the fight. Using the exploit is still not a guaranteed win however.

So what if bg rejected the strategy it doesn't mean it's not legit and everybody else who uses it should get banned. Like everybody else in the forum has posted a kill is a kill. Why do other ppl (not talking about you toda) have to be so high and mighty about something that's not even endgame. You guys keep talking what if this is a roaming nm this and that but IT'S NOT A ROAMING NM. If this was a roaming nm a less skilled group will most likely find a differnt strat that would yield the same results as your elite version strategy. Honestly for every elite strats out there somebody is going to make a noob friendly strats of their own. And this just happens to be this fights noob strats.

For example. If this was a roaming nm the noob strat would be TO BRING MORE PPL. I remembered the best elitist strats in 11 was low man everything because only the elites can do it.

Honestly this game is at it's infancy, elitism is just gonna kill it before it blooms into am awesome game. Because honestly elitism will just bring about the next coming of av and pw. Yes you guys enjoyed it but only less than 5% of the population really cared to bother.

Don't get me wrong because of your awesome elite ways noob strats was also formed so all i'm saying is stop the elitevsnoob already we can all coexist together ^.~

The only reason the newcomers don't see the sarcasm is because there are actually people posting several times ITT who take the OP seriously and agree w/ him.

No, this wasn't a pointless sarcasm thread. Actually, I'm just waiting for a rep to come give us an official response, whether it's "hey, this is actually wrong and we would ban you for this," or "no there's nothing wrong with this cause it's all standard game mechanic." We can have as many opinions as we want but only a rep can shut it up.

Exactly.

How is it an exploit when this is how the game mechanics actually work?! Raising from death, recovering without triggering aggro and then restarting the fight is a strategy used over and over in many different forms.

Like I said, the only way this is an actual exploit is if the moogles not aggroing to sight is intentional. But I agree with Vanguard - who is to say SE didn't specifically make it so moogles didn't aggro to sight, in order to enable this very strategy. Who is it say that wiping and raising isn't the exact method the SE dev team uses themselves.

The Rep's words matter so very little to me it's not even funny. People can throw around the word ban all they want about whatever they want, Square Enix track record on who they ban and for what reasons they ban them for is laughable at best. Equal treatment has never happened.
