Chances are you got kicked cause they had a friend that wanted to join, only reason I can see... was in an FC that would do that crap, would kick the pug simply to bring another in. hate that crap

A few mornings ago, I got kicked from Alexander (normal) floor 1. Whm was making a big stink about me being in nocturnal sect, they waited for the timer to run down before they ever pulled. Yes I could have changed if asked politely. And yes that right is easy to heal in nocturnal sect.
Only been kicked on request. Fail group in fractal continuum had wiped 6/7 times on the final boss and it was getting to raid time. DPS was just way too low and as tank I was taking care of one add faster than the dps (on a couple of occasions there was no pattern which meant the entire floor wasn't lit).
recently I have been kicked because im an AST, never had this problem on SCH..... I wonder why....
Only when I've disconnected. My Internet connection had a period of a few months where it'd go in and out quite often.
It's completely understandable and I feel horrible for everyone I've ever left stranded without a tank.
I hope they can forgive me. Thankfully, I've resolved the connection issue with the help of a couple techs sent out by my ISP.
Haven't been kicked yet. I've had my share of embarrassing performances though, so I can only assume it was the necessity of a healer that kept me there.
And I've only ever kicked afk players, I'd never vote someone out unless they were being extremely unpleasant.
I got vote-kicked on Saturday from Neverreap for...no reason whatsoever. Looked up the tank and one of the DPS on the lodestone, and lo and behold, same FC :/ Not a word said or anything.
I make sure they don't need the gear before I ''need'' it DICK!.... I really want to thank you for calling me a dick... It gives me hope that there are intelligent people out there....
Well, I got vote-kicked at the beginning of the Vault after the first boss because I was busy trying to equip my new Halonic Priest's Ring...and the tank didn't even bother to check if I was following him for a moment. Seriously. Don't forget to check your mini-map so that you know everyone is there before engaging. Though, they were to believe I was AFK, when they could've given me at least a few minutes before pressing on to equip my new gear.
A lot of these people are the reason why I don't tank anymore. I've been kicked for many BS reasons such as not having enough vit(which I fixed) not know how to properly pull huge mobs for a bunch of elitist snobs, and because elitist snobs didn't like how I played eventhough I was doing my job properly. Seems to me they most of the community forgets that there are real people at the other end. As far as loot goes no one should ever be kicked for trying to get what they want unless someone asks for a specific item and the party agrees to it. I've had plenty of gear I needed get greeded away from me and I got over it in two seconds
I'm leveling my tank. When I do the daily Leveling Roulette, I get kicked often, even I let them know I'm pulling every mob for the xp. As of a few days ago, I no longer do Leveling Roulette. Funny because I then read about people complaining that no tanks queue for it, or they get tanks who can't tank. Oh well.
So doing Aery with my astro for exp... still having a bit low level weapon but going good. Tank PLD isn't using any CDs on trash and the DPS is somewhat low so I try and throw in a couple of gravities here and there. We're nearing the second boss and on the last trash there the tank die(first time in the whole dungeon) casue I got stuck in cleric stance(I hate the sticky stance)... All I get in chat was "not nice letting tank die" and "not even a sorry or a reason" from the tank. Kinda lost it then and went "not nice not using a single CD during any of the trash".
Think the vote dismiss was already underway before I said anything cause the third person there was "what's going on". Sorry just so fed up with tanks in DF that don't actually bother tanking(I have nirvana zeta and I stopped doing holy carries of tanks after that cause I got fed up with them).
I appreciate a good tank but frankly they seem to be rare.
I got vote kicked once but I asked for it myself.
I had a very horrible connection once when I was in cutter's cry. My screen was frozen in the middle of the boss fight and couple of the add phrase. After three wipes, I told the team that I think they should progress with someone else, because I cannot fix my net issue without resetting the router and try rebooting etc. It was a great team. We kept apologizing to each other (tank thinks it was her fault that we got wipes, I told her it is not her but me, the DPS feels bad because she was new to this dungeon) until the moment I got the kick.
After resetting/rebooting etc, I re-run Cutter's cry with another team. I told them ahead of time that I had internet issue in the last run and if I ever got a signal issue, please just vote kick me so I won't hold up the whole group. Fortunately it was a clean run and the team was great. I even got 3 commendation at the end.
One of the latest times I was vote kicked was in Neverreap for an Expert dungeon, because I had to call out a DRK for 1) Not using cds + Darkside 2) Standing in AoE. When I said that, he said "I couldn't do that because I'm replying to your BS" despite It was the first thing I said to him, other than "Hello".
I despise DRK at times because of all the people that went to DRK because it's a cool class, especially when I'm healer, and they have both GLD/MRD at 0.
You'd enjoy playing with me as A Dark Knight. I'm a regular bad ass at it. Then again, I also have alot of DPS and Paladin experience so since Dark Knight works like a cross between Paladin and Dragoon (And it really does) it's nothing new to me as for as "Eat This, Tank That, and GTFO of the AoE Circle".
I never realized quiet how annoying this was. Being a tank main, I don't get as much opportunity to experience other tanks. However, I just started leveling WHM and whenever I get a tank that does not use their CDs or avoid AOEs, I cringe. I understand that there isn't a "Tanking for Dummies" book in-game, but you have CDs for a reason, use them!
I didn't get votekicked at all until this past week, where I got votekicked twice right before the last boss in Neverreap. Both groups were obviously full of premades(they were talking to each other about their own thing the whole time)so I assume they were just typical douchebag "lets votekick the random for no reason" types.
Did fractal as my main (pld) right before last boss I dc after 2 mins I came back and notice I was kicked then I queued up again and ask them why reply was "we thought you trolled us"
or in steps of faith when I asked for kick people first offended me and then kicked me few days after I even got a warning from SE cause they reported me
Requesting to be kicked because you got a Duty you don't like isn't exactly going to have people go "yeah sure, okay." Also, you can't kick people until 5 minutes in the duty have passed (so if you refused to participate/do anything, then people would naturally be peeved with you).
I got kicked for noticing a fellow BRD spamming Wide Valley in a boss fight. The rotation looked kinda like WV -> SS -> WB -> VB -> IJ -> WV -> WB -> VB. You get the picture.
When I called him out on it twice, tank decided to be a white knight he is, and defend his friend who is totally not from quote MMO-crowd elitist jerks unquote. So I just stopped carrying that BRD, and waited for them to kick me. Sorry, brave decent SCH, hopefully you got a clear.
A group wanted to go in blind rather than have me explain the strat on a fight (Alexander Floor 1 when it first came out before everyone was overgeared for it), I quite bluntly told them I refuse to die a bunch of times and that if they didn't like it they could kick me. So they did and i queued up again and got another group that was willing to listen, we downed it in one attempt.
I got vote kick in the forth floor of alex cause I was in the quarantine room and the tank die and I kill the add but I don't see as it was my fault when the tank wasn't at max heath I was mad about that how is a drg going too heal a tank >.>
Ahh yes, the only time I've been kicked was a while ago. I was kicked from Turn 7 by a premade group because the healers didn't want to 'heal another melee'. This was after we wiped a few times due to their brd buddy pointing voice at the rest of the group. I just became their scape goat I guess. Imagine their surprise though to learn that I was not only on the same server and knew what FC they were in, (I've seen them around and used to help the FC from time to time with EX Primals, that and our FCs were neighbors!) but to learn that I was friends with one of their FCs officers, whom I immediately complained to.
Today i almost got vote kicked out of PVP.
First spawn we had two nodes very close to each other very easy to defend and the other two teams were fighting each other.
As i made out calls i told everyone to stay put and not to provoke the enemy at this time. Surely enough 5 people from my own PT went in and got killed,
And i said. If you keep dying it will only cost us points please stick near the nodes if we don't need to attack.
Response i got from pre-mades i'm assuming
#1 "You want us to kick u?"
#2 "You talking to me?!"
#3 "I'll do what ever i want"
Figured it was a lost cause, towards the end we managed to win by just a few points, looked at scoreboard. 1/10 How does one dies 10 times in PVP. We didn't even fought that much cause the enemy were just focusing each other most of the time.
My one and only one was in Tam Tara Deepcroft HM for a bit of unfortunate management. The first boss's mechanics were, and still to this day, such a freakin' TROLL. Because of the way it looked and mechanics from previous similar situations I 'assumed' you had to kill adds...which turned out to be the reason why we're wiping.
The party tried to tell me this, of course...but my chat filter was on another tab. And the entire time I was grumbling "So nice of these people to assume I did this before and not bothering to say anything". We finally somehow manage do beat the boss (no thanks to me) and was promptly kicked soon after. Only after I switched the tab did I finally see the cries of distress and disappointment. Although I accepted the kick fully, that was entirely my bad.
I've never actually been kicked that I can recall other than from a long disconnect, however I'm sure the people in the following story wanted very badly to kick me afterwards!
Leviathan Hard, I was running this over and over because the % of new people to that duty was very high, and I could explain that fight in a matter of seconds, and get the bonus soldiery at the time.
I get put into a group with 7x Miqo'te females. I agree to tank the tail, the PLD is tanking the head.
As it was late, and I was about 10 beers in, I ended up being on the head rather than the tail. PLD says in group "uhh bro... the tail?"
I realize my mistake, and go tank the tail, and we win no problem, not a big deal. So to make light of my blunder, I say in party chat "sorry! Levi is kinda like my mother in law, the face and the rear end kinda look the same!"
Instantly they start calling me garbage, an absolute S*#@t tank, a misogynistic pig, etc etc.
Wondering what the heck is going on, I look a few of them up on lodestone, and find they're all in the same FC on Balmung. A FC that is advertised as catering to one very specific niche. Needless to say, I'd cracked a mother in law joke in a group with 7 man hating you know whats......
I jumped off the boat to my death right then and there. It was the lesser of two evils.
I have been kicked exactly twice.
1st time was in WP hard on the EX roulette, which I normally ran in 25 minutes +/- depending on aoe power. Instance started with the WHM (dreadwyrm gear)making a comment about one of the DPS' gear (wasn't great but it wasn't awful - but not in Dreadwyrm). Dreadwyrm WHM steps in front of me, pulls the first mob, I retake aggro and we move on. He pulls the first boss, I retake aggro and we move on. After the gate going to the second boss, the WHM pulls another group ahead of me. At this point I am annoyed and I let him hold things a bit before I pulled off of him. Then he pulls the second boss. After letting him completely eat it, I get yelled at for never doing my job and being a bad tank. I told him you pull it, you tank it. After stating that I would not pull any further enimies that he aggro'd ahead of me, I got vote kicked.
A4 normal shortly after it came out- 1st wipe Running OT, I died in quarantine (not full health, but had 9 k ish) DPS was terribly low, and burned most all of my pld cooldowns (retrospect i should have HG). I proceed to be called out, I reply that 1) I wasn't close to being topped off and 2) that I shouldn't be taking more than 6k damage in there if the DPS is decent. Everything settles in, I'm stance dancing as usual, we wipe on the second pull towards the end of the fight (DPS was sorely lacking) and I get kicked.
Twice
1 vote; 1 leader
for "loot ninja"
- looting wod gear for a class that was not yet 50, sb who had nin 50 but went other class insisted its a dick move when really i had only 1 main class fully geared and nin was to follow some day. I dismissed his concerns a bit lazy to not controllertype ingame, so party booted me
- looting rav weapon for not 60 char. Pf founder reserved weapons but that 1 wasnt among them and i joined for that.
-> people feel its horrible to take gear you do not yet need and they couldve claimed before but did not. I feel it takes only a few days till you need it, so why not store beforehand
One that really stuck with me;
I queued up for Fractal, it's my first time. Basically it's like the second day the content actually had gotten released.
Ended up in a pre-made party, which I found out after that. The first boss came and boy... It was quite a mess. At first, I didn't know how his patterns were, when it came to the AoE's.
But the second and third time I was improving, though the Healer said that I wasn't doing any effort while his buddy DPS was laying dead on the floor. So, despite me learning and not dying (!), I got kicked out.
But here's the actual kicker... These guys are from my server AND from the same FC... AND it was one where one of my friends was located in.
Left quite a nasty taste in my mouth and I refused to do fractal for a couple of days because of it.
I got kicked out of A4 yesterday because of the bug that lets you fluid aura the boss and knock him around.
It was my fault i got kicked, but it was too damn funny to NOT ping the boss around every 15 seconds, so totally worth the kick.
I guess itll be patched in this maintenance tho :( fun while it lasted haha
Got kicked from Fractal as tank. Q in progress 30 minutes into dungeon. They had just beat the first boss. Drg and bard dps. Drg is just doing 1 2 3 onthe trash mobs no dots or piercing buff/debuff. Bard is same level of competence, opening up with iron jaws. Not using dots. Trash taking forever to die. So i mention these things ( i started out polite suggested reading tool tips and forum threads ) but i said I'd stick it out with them. Then they started calling me a try hard, i need a GF so I'd calm down. So i started kiting mobs not tanking mobs if they managed to grab one. Last boss i chased bard around with the boss till bard got killed. After i died they were saying hurry up and die so we can boot this a$$ tank. As soon as the fight was over i started a vote on the bard and it went through LOL. Dps joined then i got booted. Good times
Vote kicked on the first day of the patch for not knowing the fight of the last boss of Pharos Sirius Hard (or any of the other bosses). The patch had just come out that day. Not everyone is gonna know the fights.
I was a black mage doing Snow Cloak and the entire run was really slow as the tank only took 1 mob at a time, drove me nuts being a maxed out blm, but I didn't say anything, got to the end and they were standing around, the main tank goes to run in and I start my thunder III and then he stopped and purposely waited for me to cast my lightning and let the boss kill me... I saw that he stopped and tried to stop myself from casting but it seemed that it was one of the lucky times that it just went through... I was pissed and I told him way to make a point. We fought and they ignored the mechanics of the fight and died. I told him how to do it and we started again and they all die but me, came really close to killing it myself Manawall didn't save me tho through the lb, 3rd time I go in they were waiting around looking fishy and next thing I knew I was kicked! I was pissed.
I was kick out of Fractal and I'm not sure why
