Like many others but they don't.

Well, there was an anouncement posted on steam regarding pre orders ( if you own the steam version )

£100 extra for a toy dragon, some pretty pictures and in game helm/flying mount that everyone will have is pretty ridiculous. I'll stick to the normal £30 edition.
Do you want people to not buy your product SE? Because this is how you get people to not buy your product. No way will I be getting the boxed CE, and I'm having doubts about getting the digital one if SE are doing a similar price gouge for UK players.
Which is a shame, because I was really looking forward to that Hippogriff.
The digital price is fair. It's pretty generous really.
This price for the physical though is atrocious.
The fact that its been over 8 hours since we were supposed to be able to pre-order and no real acknowledgement/update on the situation is really poor imo.
Digital CE was £45 when I checked before the site was taken down.
Unless I was mistaken.
Well, that was the CE. The stand-alone was much cheaper.
That's good, very little reason to get the physical one in that case.
Ignore this lol. Was going to try and come up with some way to buy the game for cheap.
Thats all well and good however the issue that UK players are facing is that our currency is stronger and thus worth more. I.e. 1 USD at Current exchange rate not including for taxes on conversion is worth 0.67 GBP; therefore the 130 USD that is being charged in America is equivalent to £87.80 GBP. Even if you were to add on a fee of 5% which would be the equivalent of the 1% paypal charge on bank transfer + 3.9% charged for payment by card fixed fee it would still only come to £92.19 GPB which is significantly (£37.81) less than we would have to pay in USD. So I think the best thing for us to do is find a supplier in the US, buy a whole load of collectors editions from them and then resale them in the UK for less than £130; bulk shipping of the copies would probably still come to less that the £37.81/copy difference in price!
Anyway ppl should wait until the store becomes available again to check for the "final" prices. If it's 130£, €, $ .. well.. who cares? In EU the customers always pay more for games, software, hardware and similar products and no one complains though it is clear the value of the product does not match the price. I don't care at least. I would pay even 150€ or more for it since I want to have it.

Hope is near...ish?
When it's something small like $40 -> £40 or $60 -> £60 I can stomach it. But $139 > £139 is just too much to write off. I could buy a whole other copy of the game with the money left over from that price hike!
Then they should just not buy it. It is not about being ripped off. Customers just need to understand that this is nothing special or any different from, for example, buying steam games in the eu and russia before the region lock was activated for all games. You just payed 50% more in the eu by default and most buyers did not even notice.
In the end, I still recommend checking the prices once the store is available again. Maybe they won't even be that high as many assume but I doubt it. Most ce's in my country start at 100€ and some even cost up to 300€. Ofc, that is still not as much as UK ppl might have to pay, but thats how it is.
Maybe I do not understand those who are surprised by the pricing but for me it seems fine the way it is.
No, this most certainly is not normal. Other CE games are never priced gouged as much as this in the UK. They even took the effort to price the digital CE of Heavensward correct at £45, as opposed to $60 and €60.
You might be eager to get ripped off by SE, but we are not. We're British, goddamn it.
Worse thing, has any mod or PR talked about why its 1=1
I'm pretty sure S/E must be fans of The Pixies, they've probably been singing 'gouge away' for the best part of the day rubbing their hands at all us U.K. folk

i was more thinking LOADS OF MONIES
And there we have it, like I said: http://www.shopto.net/video-games/pc...iv-heavensward
UK-Based Store, this is the normal version, on sale for £22.85 with a RRP £30.
They don't have the Digital CE up yet, but I guarantee it'll be about £35, like every other reasonable retailer does.
