Just givin' a little bump for those who haven't seen the thread yet.
Maybe we should start including ideas for other types of mini-games as well.

there wasnt like button when the thread first posted
Well people should go back and do it now.
Any kind of in-game game that you can spontaneously play with friends while you're chilling in a capital city would just be absolutely fantastic. It doesn't have to be super complicated either. Just something else to promote character interaction and enhance down-time you may spend with friends or guild members while waiting for scheduled events or leve resets and so on.
Yes, this would be downright spectacular.
Would love to see a dev post on this topic.
Although im kinda scared they say that they have nothing planned. ; ;
An interactive side-game available in one of the major cites (not Ul'dah), would be a fantastic way to help downtime, and get people to travel away from the hub.
I doubt this is the panacea that'll fix FFXIV, but at the very least it would help the game quite a bit.
Most ffxi players waste there time playing ffxi by just talking to friend /ls so this would be a great idea to bring out some fun things to do in eorzea.
We totally need this, just sayin'.
I support a card game in-game. It always boggled my mind why Tetra Master wasn't INSIDE FFXI, would've been amazing for content.
Tetra Master! I could play Tetra Master in FFXI all day! Too bad it costs $1 a month.. lol.
Cards please, tell that to dev.
Triple Triad OMG so huge. I love that idea.
Argh,Didnt they look at this thread? gimme my cards!!
tetra master > triple triad
Gotta keep the dream and one of the best suggestions on these forums alive.
In-Game Triple Triad
Would be nice to have a somewhat simple game you can play anywhere. You could be at a camp waiting for the rest of your crew and someone in your party could initiate the game (whatever it happens to be). They could either click a gameboard on the ground in front of where the initiator (in their party) has sat down and started the game or access it through the menu and then they sit down around the game board (or little table for the cards) and then the game shows up on their screen.
It'd just be cool to see when people are playing together, IMO. And it'd be really great if it could be done anywhere to help alleviate boring wait times for either party members or waiting for behest or whatever it happens to be.
KUDOS TO TRIPLE TRIAD!!!!!!!!!!!!
NO TO PARLEY!!! PARLEY ISN'T FUN!
Tetra-master totally.
Yes please!!! This would be such a cool feature but as people are saying it has to be IN game or at least accessible from the menu, I would prefer an arena or casino type of thing too though.
I was thinking they should add some minigames in the boat's cabin as well so while you're taking the trip across the sea you can play something with others on the boat to kill the time, it'd be cool.
Hopefully we can see something like this or at least get some kind of an answer or acknowledgement at some point over the summer. Battle update takes priority but once they're through with that they've got freedom to do what they like.
Dodo Card Yes Please!
Yes, this is an amazing idea. Collecting? I want. Not frusturating PvP? I want. Something fun to pass the time? I want.
Dang!! no crown yet!
Patinece, grasshopper. We toss the idea, but it is they who have to implement it. It'll beat the pants off of that game table in Jeuno, at any rate.
I want the cards idea too. Perhaps you can incorporate it back into the game with either "card points" earn through wins or "card item", turning cards into all sorts of stuff.
The particularly great thing about this is it is both early-game and end-game content in one single feature.
Triple Traid in game would be great, should just go ahead and replace the parlay system. However, I think it should be completely optional, as in no special rewards, just a good way to pass the time.
Triple Triad = Best (Mini)Game Ever
Most enjoyable part of FF8. Hands down.
