Because I thought they were part of the game, didn't know they were exclusives from the gameshow.
I also spent a lot of time taking screenshots with the Moogle at Apkallu Falls now I remember...sigh, sad.

I've stopped wanting the hair now. But personally, I think the event could have at least been brought back for the PS4 launch. Don't give me that it wouldn't be fair story considering the fact it's not like the whole thing takes an entire month to do. A better idea would have just been to hold the event all platforms would have an equal chance to do it. If they knew they were going to release the game for the PS4..I fail to understand why didn't they just hold it until then. Could have promoted the other FF game in a different way instead of making these items that they know people will clearly want..and then suddenly go like "Nope, too late" as if a lot of people had a chance. (A lot probably didn't and since either they didn't know about the game, or they didn't have a PC to play it, or whatever reason). But that is just my opinion. Surely enough there will be more events to come that will probably give more hairstyles, or even updates might do it.
Lightning Returns has NOTHING to do with the PS4. There's no relation between the two, so why should they bring the event back for PS4? Do you only purchase FFXIV:ARR to get access to LR:FFXIII stuff?
I don't get the logic of some people.
No one said they were related..it's just the fact that the new PS4 players had no chance at all to do the event. If you're going to make an event like that..at least do something like what vindictus does..make the items tradeable so if someone doesn't want the outfit, or whatever. They can just simply sell it in the marketplace. That way everyone is happy. But that's as I've said..my own opinion.
I had no idea the hair was exclusive like that and honestly find it kinda weird. I wouldn't bat an eye if they made the hair just standard available to all accounts. I got the unique armor and weapons that really should be enough of a reward for participating in the event. Exclusive hair conceptually makes no sense anyways. How can the aesthetician do a hair style for some but then for no logical reason be completely incapable at giving that hair style to other people? I mean he's the fabulous Jandelaine. There should be nothing he can't do.
oh we should also say EXCLUSIVE LEGACY MARK AS WELL THEN . Bugger off already with this entitled sense in this forum.
I just want them to make it account bond. Thats it.
re-implement lightning hair. promo hairstyles are awful.
if you have a character which the lightning hair fits for, you are pretty much screwed because they won't make a hair style in the future that's similar because it's the "lightning hair" and the lightning hair is ~promotional~
seriously, having limited-time-only hairstyles in a game where the playerbase expects good character customization is stupid.
I know I'm going to be lambasted because "I want it" and "I'm being entitled," but, seriously, what's the big deal if it's released?
It's a hairstyle. It's not some super mega special mount, or armor, or weapon, it's *just* a hairstyle. It'd be like them making a special promo once-upon-a-time eye color, or something.
And beyond that, it's one of the only good hairstyles that certain races get (I'm staring at Miqo'te right now, though the new elezen one isn't *bad,* per se.)
I just want a cute, spiky hairstyle for my character. Why do people get so up in arms? I promise, it's not going to make you less special. .-.
I don't think basic elements of character customization should be locked away.
And, the reason I personally want it so bad is because out of all of the Miqo'te and Midlander hairstyles in the game, there are three that I consider "passably cute" at best.
Also:
I've noticed no one ever asks for the outfit to be made available. Just the hair. :P
I did the event mainly for her outfit. The hairstyle was just a bonus to me. I've never even donned it, so I wish I could transfer it over to someone else's aesthetician. D:
Also, I don't see anyone crying for Snow's hobo hair! :P
The thing that bugs me about the hairstyle is its not attached to my account. Only the characters that participated in the event can wear it so any future characters are unable to have it.
i agree, i missed event because of job (didnt play much games) and i love Lightning as character
Well good for you then.
Lightning will return again for the 3rd time according to what we have all seen.
So now everyone who wanted it can get it and stop bringing it up all the bloody time.
Think that's gonna stop people from bringing it up? Wait till October.
It'll probably take SE releasing a completely new popular limited time event to get people's minds off this one. And once that happens, people who didn't participate will just start complaining about not having access to the new stuff. Endless cycle.
I want Dalamud Horn!!
Haha, I bet you Lightning will return a few months from now. Guaranteed!
I want Cloud's hair next.....and his sword yar?
Lightning doesn't strike twice, it fires off over and over.
How did you got the hairstyle? Please tell me!
I don't think things like hairstyles should be exclusive. I completed the event on multiple characters so there goes that argument against it out of the window. It's a contemporary iconic hairstyle of the FF series now, at least let the ones who didnt get it buy it from the mog station. It's not a big deal either way, but it is a easy way for SE to make some extra cash from people who want it but don't have it. It's literally free money for them at this point, you'd think they'd want to actually sell things like that.
It was a limited time event. Can't say if it will ever be back again, but I think the game it was advertising will be getting a PC release or something...? So there's no telling.
The event happened twice, meaning the event was available twice to get the hair and other such accessories.
At this point, I'm more inclined to believe that the hairstyles and items may become available via Mogstation than the event showing again.
They're likely going to use those event time slots for other cross-promotions.
Did PS4 players get a chance to get this? Wondering since I don't remember when the event was exactly.
Yes, they did, during the anniversary campaign.
Why not just make it a "normal," but rare FATE (or whatever the f it was) or just throw the hair up on the cash shop or something? To be honest, I can't really say I give a **** either way considering my disdain for everything remotely related to XIII, including Lightning's dumb hair, but I mean..like...it's not like some other company holds the rights to her character. Surely Yoshi-P could quite literally walk upstairs to his bosses and be like, "yo dawg, lemme put Lightning in mah game again!" Considering how long SE was shoving her down our throats, I'm surprised they didn't somehow force him to reboot this game again to turn it into a XIII spinoff.

A rare FATE chain that appears once every 6 months should be ok. With announcement or without announcement?
