Miqo'te have already some hairstyles from the other races.
So long it cover the ears on a Hyur, a Miqo'te should be able to use it.

We have an update from the Aesthetician supervisor that I'm sure will come as a disappointment to some.
Unfortunately the crescent moon face paint, and animal print facepaint won't make it in time for patch 2.1. While we don't have an updated release date for these two options, we're currently in discussion and will update you when we can.

This will never happen. Long hairstyles don't work well due to insane clipping with armor and weapons.

At least a lill below shoulder length would be nice. I don't like the whole hair being tied up idea and the ones with out it has no bangs :(

Honestly, I'm not a fan of longer hairstyles for the simple reason that they always look freakishly stiff. The ones in XIV stick out at an odd angle from the character's head, as well. They just don't look all that good. >_< Maybe if they could develop better hair physics, I'd be more gung-ho about long hairstyles.

I like this hairstyle it would be fine if it was a little shorter. Though I'm sure the Roe's and Highlanders have a longer hairstyle? The one that Babydoll has (previous poster). I'd like that hairstyle to be an option for the rest of the female races. It's really ashame that they can't make longer hairs. Though I really don't mind as long as they're pretty :o I class my hairstyle as a long hairstyle anyway so I think I'd be happy if they could make more like this.

Long hair looks nice... in still images. But in actual gameplay? They'd either look like flopping cardboard or writhing tentacles. Hair that's short or tightly bound doesn't need to 'flow' like long hair does. In order to avoid 'cardboard' or 'tentacles', the game would have to process every individual strand. If you do it by 'groups', you get tentacles. Just move pieces (or the whole thing) and you'll get 'cardboard'.

Selvaria's hair is just to awesome for this game and its clipping phobic devs. PSO2 had these clipping hair styles and no one gave a crap, shame SE seems to be scared of clipping on stuff that's not a big deal.

I'd like some variety in hair accessories like the band or bows/ribbons.
Or at least in the color or design on it.

Yeah, I'd like to see how those twin tails look on my character.

Don't know if it's already been said, but...

Wavy and curly hairstyles for Lalafells, both male and female. Also, braided hair that doesn't have lots of loose hair, like a ponytail, except braided....but not cornrows either.

As soon as I read this, I went to my (name removed) software which I use to create my own nearly FFXIV-quality 3D characters which I do for fun. Side note, the characters I made are NOT FFXIV compatible, I wish I had the skills to do that, but I do not, I just do it for the fun of creating 3D characters. :( Anyway, I've been messing with gear and things like that, not really anything like facepaint. Once I read this, I went and designed 20 animal facepaints, 8 of which are exceptional, the other 12 shows how much I suck at artwork. lol Anyway, took me 35 minutes to make 20 animal facepaints and maybe 10 minutes to implement them... What's the hold up SE? I did this by myself in 45 minutes total without planning ahead.

You know, I was just thinking the very same thing and came to post about it. I never wear those types of looks on my characters, but it does have a place in the scenery of things.

They could do for some mini Afro styles too. They don't have to be a huge Angela Davis afro, just something conservative.
