Why are you even playing an MMO in the first place? Go read a book or watch a movie.

The barrier must be bugged cause i remember in Beta when that barrier would not move and inch until everyone had watched the cutscene. If the barrier still works like that then i dont see the issue here i mean its not like they can force you to move and get out of the cut scene and if they dont wanna wat for you to finish watching it then let them get themselves killed. I would as for insults and stuff like that you do know there is a blacklist right? you know you add their name to your mostly likely growing list of annoying users and bam you cant see what they are typing anymore. Sriously complaining about their complaints when you could be ignoring them i just dont get it.
Ponder this.. two versions of each dungeon and an incentive for the older players to help the new.
Castrum (Non Story Mode)
Tombs: 100
Cutscenes are removed.
Castrum (Story Mode)
Tombs: 100 (first timers) 150 (everyone else)
Cutscenes are present, walls are put up until everyone has finished cutscenes. Queue will only pop with at least 2 newcomers to prevent farming, we have this put in place for an exp boost... so why not a tombs boost.
to be fair you only ever see a person claiming it to be their first time like 1 group out of 10 or so and even then they usually have a primal weapon or ak gear proving they're lying about it and then you get to view all of the story at your own convenience any time you want in your inn without holding 7 other people back making the whole "i want to see the story" complaint fairly moot
It may seem like a big deal on the forum where every thread is just a tiny minority trying to make a huge splash but in the real world the "i need to watch all the story pieces" people are the ones being huge jerks and ruining the game for everyone else
Sorry if I want to enjoy the story cut scenes of a RPG, if it is my first time I am going to watch them, and you can bitch at me all you want, I will just report you for harassment. Tell people to go watch them in the Inn is wrong as well...... That is for REPLAYING cut scenes not watching them for the first time -.-

Great idea ! I think this is similar to GW2 where each dungeon has story mode and non-story mode with different distribution of rewards.
I do not need to back anything up, there is nothing to back up. It is a simple fact, people who are first timers in dungeons should have the right to watch the story segments and not be yelled at or abused or bullied to skip them. If you have skipped them you first time, then that is your problem, if you dont care about the story, again your problem.
For starters, if you're speed running CM for tomes you are about a month behind the times. Prae is 10 minutes faster regardless of gear and is far less painful to speed run as half of it is boss rush.
If you use DF you need to have zero expectations of your party. DF is for lazy people or as a last resort and you are basically saying "I do not care who is in my group, I just want a full group". If you have any expectations you need to shout for a party and agree on conditions together. It is not a matter of etiquette it is simply what is and isn't possible in an anonymous, random group.
Almost all of my speed runs are premade, they have to be since a speed-run party wouldn't even be able to queue you only use one tank and a healer. If there are not enough people around, usually in off-peak times then we might just go normal composition and DF the last guy. We don't expect them to do anything, we will only queue if we can carry the fight which is absolutely trivial in Prae anyway so whoever we get we're steamrolling through the whole thing and they can do whatever they want. If they have a problem with that then too bad, it's DF you have to play with the hand you're dealt.
If this is not the intention of square they need to do something about it, there is no consequence for speed-running so that is a passive OK from the higher powers.
I'll be honest I'm one of those guys who pull still if there is 1 or 2 CS watchers, Hey I play the game my way you play it your way.
Sorry, but after 2 years of league of legends, these kind of people are NOTHING!!!
on a side note, you can watch cutscene at the inn, and if you go to DF, you will usually find a normal group as oppose to speed run groups, thats my experience anyway...
