This is why quest markers make the game for 2 year olds

/facepalm....

Sorry, but having to run around and talk to every npc just to see if they have a quest, or having to look up quest locations on a website is just stupid.

I wouldn't mind having a toggle that people who want to make the game more "hardcore" so they can. After all, everybody knows (!) are only for noobs and id-10-ts right?!?!

they dont, if anything they are pure convenience of NOT having to go check your journal to see where the marker should be

why should i have to go back into my jounral to figure out what mob to talk to when it shows which one wants to talk to my visualy, it just helps, it doesnt hand you a thing

No, I wasn't. They were actual markers for the quest. When I arrived at a marker my char would stop walking and say "You feel comfy in this!". You didn't have to actually walk to the markers for this to happen, I went around a bunch and it still happened +my quest still completed normally. After the quest was complete the markers disappeared.

Most of the time it works like that, but sometimes, as shown in my OP, the quest markers go to extremes and show us things we don't need "marked". That's my complaint.

you mean to show us things YOU dont need marked

people want to know where they are, it satisified those people

not everything will be something everyone wants, or needs, but if people do want and need it, then thats enough of a reason for it to exist in most cases

in this case, you seem to be mad cuz its not something in YOUR favor, much like every post you make seems to state, if its not for you it shouldnt exist

quest markers dont make the game easier, it is there for your convenience. but of course you're the kind of person that would like to run around for an hour just to find out who to talk to. THATS NOT FUN and it doesnt make you smarter than the average bear. Go read a book if you like reading text so much. apparently boring and mundane tasks is what makes this game different than wow? I lol'd

we dont have a path shown, we still gotta go from point A to B to see the NPC with the marker

now granted, IF they had paths showing us where to go that would indeed be excessive, but they dohnt so its a moot point

Yeah, they did, for the LW quest. That's why I'm saying it's excessive! There were THREE markers on the path, showing you a path where to walk to the chocobo stables. Do the level 20 LW quest yourself if you don't believe me and you'll see!

This game was never, ever intended for the "hardcore" crowd. It was stated long before release that it was catering to a more casual audience than XI. It's your mistake for coming into this game expecting something it most certainly is not and isn't trying to be. This is another on that list of games that you deem too easy.
