I and many many others have held this argument since launch. And before you say "its an mmo launch.." its not. Its an mmo RE-launch. This is their do-over. Its time to get it right.
And yes, my beautiful, loving wife thinks I'm a real charmer. In the end, that's all that really matters.
Edit: Let me hold the argument for you in this thread, since you seem oblivious to it in every other thread. Here's the readers digest version: In july, SQUARE ENIX sent around a press release to every major gaming media outlet bragging about how they had over ONE MILLION BETA APPLICATIONS. We are now into september and the game has been out to the public for over a week. They had ample warning. They knew what was going on. They knew what to expect because they were bragging about it.
And here we are. Error, after error, after error.
The problem is NOT with the game. The game is incredible. The problem is completely with the access, logistics and service revolving around the game.
I don't believe this is Yoshi's fault, and do not blame him or his team. I believe this is the fault of one of the CFO's at square enix who probably took yoshi's projected resource budget and cut it in half, citing "we already lost money on this game once, we have to be careful how much we invest.." or something to that extent. This is just speculation, but in business, this is commonly what happens between development and finances.
So there. That is my argument, which I, and others, have made countless times. Was that charming enough for you?
<farts loudly>
