That game where warfare for nationalistic ideals, resources, land, wealth and religion can exist independent from violence?

Those kids, hanging about at the Globe theatre watching stuff from that upstart William Shakespear. It's rotting their brains and making them think suicidal thoughts.
or maybe...
Books!?!? There's no point in kids reading since they'll just loose their grip on reality! And they ruin your eyes!
The reason high school kids are getting dumber every year? I'll bet it's because those kids didn't grow up watching real cartoons. Instead of watching cats fly jets, ducks go on adventures, vehicles fight crime, and various antics by a trio of....black dog-things...? ... their brains are being melted by sponges and starfish. Man, I feel sorry for kids these days, their school buses didn't fly or transform either!
Please don't jump on my head or sic your yellow mouse on me! Anything but that!
The market creates the demand and the developers feed it. Regardless of the dreadful lack of quality in the article, the general inuring of people to sexualised and violent attitudes is a broad reality for which a portion of responsibility has to be accepted.

Some doof mentioned the killer played final fantasy online and he thought "surely that is where only people stab others repeatedly and in psychotic fashion! Never before has this happened before the game industry did so!"
To be fair, its a tabloid. Tabloids aren't known for the truth. One picture of any of us and they'd spin a tale about how we were leaving our husbands and taking the baby with us.
If I were SE I would look into suing the paper, for trying to damage the company, show people that this kind of situation are to do with mental health rather than video games (and the false accusation that the guy was cosplaying a Final Fantasy character)
Sonic came out when I was a kid, and I never knew of anyone jumping on fat people claiming they were saving the world from Dr Robotnik.
I played Mortal Kombat as a kid on the mega drive (or genesis for anyone in NA) and I haven't tried to freeze people solid and uppercut them, or have a harpoon fly out of my hand shouting "Get over here!"
How long before this happens and Mario gets banned.
