If SE can't handle exploits now, why will they be able to in 2.0?

The way the event works was intended, the outcome that many people used the seals for wasn't expected. People really need to stop using the word exploit so freely. No it also wasn't an unfair advantage from other people before someone actually tries copying the definition because it was OPEN for ALL PLAYERS to obtain.

Exploits can be available to all players. And the event had unintended consequences.

Your definition of exploit is severely flawed.

No its not, because exploit would assume you have an advantage over someone which there is no advantage in this case when like I said, the event is available to everyone, hell I see low lvls all the time doing nothing

A little common sense would dictate that game mechanics probably WEREN'T designed for you to spend a lot of GC seals on an item just to vendor it for gil. Whether SE didn't anticipate how many seals people would accumulate or it was never intended that people were able to get more than one cluster isn't really known, but they dropped the ball.

Who's fault is that though? Not the players farming the seals. That's like saying I exploited my darklight because you had to work IRL and I didn't. Even then though you can't say it was an exploit because it was readily available to you, you just chose to not do it because of work

The seal thing wasn't an exploit it was working as intended but SE didn't like the rate people were gaining seals so they nerfed it.

But there was never anything wrong with darklight. (besides it had a crapass droprate) This is something that was only available for a certain window of time and the people that play 10 hours a day instead of 2 made out good from it. (see person who vendored 10mil worth of dawn drops)

Yes it is.

If I stand on a square in a room and get infinite exp and wasnt meant to happen by the devs its an expliot. You never hacked for it either.

Everyone could stand on that one spot, by your logic it isnt an exploit. By your logic nothing is an exploit unless is segregates, and that has nothing to do with the definition of an exploit.

However, telling what was meant by the devs and what was not can be hard. I will give that to you.
