Meanwhile, We are STILL dealing with issues from 2 years ago regarding housing, Are still using outdated construction methods, Still unable to save presets, Unable to modify EVERYTHING only some things are modifiable.

There is a genius in the way SE presents their promises.

They promise extremely vague ideas like "better encounter design" that is prone to all sorts of interpretation and leave people to fill in the blanks.

Then when the real thing comes and it was disappointing, the vagueness allows them to get away with it because they never promise anything concrete. The white knights are sicced on the community and use the refrain that "they never actually promised that" as a baton to discipline the rowdy unhappy population.

As someone who actually still plays overwatch 2 I can say at least the game tries new stuff and sometimes does actually deliver a lot of the time (Yes PVP was a big loss but it being repurposed into stadium actually feels more interesting to me). The game gets a bad rep but despite that I actually do see the devs try to listen to the playerbase when they mess up. I don't want to defend ow2 here but if you were to ask me which game I'm more hype about currently it would easily be ow2 Unironically.

With ff14 it's mostly radio silence and avoiding to listen to any sort of possible negative feedback, I doubt they will even address the black mage changes anytime soon, the only hope we have is that 8.0 will somehow fix the mess of job design and that occult crescent will hold us over until 8.0

And the sad thing is, People still haven't clued in. Years of them doing the same stuff with no exception and people take everything SE says as gospel, They're just overworked that's why "X" is missing!!!!!!

Atleast now some of the turbo white knights are starting to see the writing on the wall and leave for other games, Zepla used to CONSTANTLY spit shine Yoship's boots but now can't stand him half the time.

That’s not even necessary since WoW added Warbands, which makes anything relevant shareable across all characters. Between that and how easy leveling alts is there, having multiple characters is actually better, since they all have different loot lockouts
