For those confused about the dates.
15th august (wednesday): Official start date - PRESS ONLY
16th - 19 august: Open for the public & FFXIV gameplay presentation
17th - 18th august: Signing sessions (I probably should sign up for one)
There are some press releases planned for the 14th which is one day earlier than the official start date. Compare it with the pre-E3 press releases.
Also I barely understand any german. Hopefully the presentation won't only be in that language but otherwise don't expect me to understand much what they will be saying.
could SE be clear sometime ? It's only their most important event on this project c'mon :P .. and we don't even know the exactly date..
Without mention a streaming service.. :/
I'm simply guessing that Yoshi-P will be holding the same presentation once every day. It's what kinda happens at gamescom. There are usually a few larger booths with a stage on it. Last time I went, ncsoft had one to present GW2 and their other mmorpg. That one more cartoony like. I went on a saturday back then and I basically heard that they did the same presentation once every day.
Obviously the first presentation would either be on the 15th or 16th. Depending if they decide to show it to the press first.
Edit: Star wars the mmorpg also had a stage back then where they were presenting their game.
Feel the same pain that we europeans have to endure for most of your games and gaming conventions!!! *evil laugh* Seriously, we're often the ones being left in the dirt when it comes to this.
The thing is US has about 10x the player base that plays these games. Based on the last goblin giveaway FFXI contest SE held, US got 10x the amount of prizes over EU players. Which would lead me to believe there is 10 to 1 ration of US to EU players.
I could see them wanting to promote there more but Germany where very few people play FFXIV there, if you look at the German forums on this site they are pretty dead.
