As far as the clover, while I'm hoping it's a clearer lead on the new caster job and it's giving a lot of discussion, it could just as likely be the symbol of the guild that teaches us the ranged physical job and has nothing to do with the job at all.

I'm hoping that's not the case though but at the same time, samurai's announcement shirt was a spider-man shirt because a guy named Sam Raimi directed spider-man movies so we could be getting trolled.

I wasn't paying attention to the TMNT shirt supposedly being pictomancer and I don't understand that one. I can see "green" and "shell" leading to green mage or the fact that their ninjas leading to the scouting gear class but that last one seems lazy since I thought we already knew that.

Both the shirt and the clover will probably only really make sense retroactively after the jobs are actually announced.

And as other pointed out, we might get "Green mage" but in name only, with one spell "Shell" just to be Magick Barrier.

Ranged physical? Didn't they confirm that it was physical melee dps and range magical dps during the fan fest when they announced jobs were being added?

Could be related or not, just a really interesting item to show. Also i kinda not sure it would be related to corsair/gambler since that would be luck theme and its only a three leaf clover and not four.

On that point you're correct, they would never put so much focus on a random item. It doesn't help that Krile is speculated to have the latest job especially as the other scions aren't shown with new outfit.
Corsair and Green mage are popular demands as well.

As for Gambler, I was thinking of a deck of card, the diamond, the heart, the spade and clubs.

I don't think the accessory confirms it but yes, it heavily leans towards Green Mage.
Now to see the hell they're going to do with that Corsair.

They confirmed fanfest it would be caster and melee but not everyone partakes in xiv current events and media so you have to assume there will be people who didn’t watch and have no idea

It's probably not Elementalist, or at the very least, I don't think it will be called that. In French, that's what they decided to go for to translate Conjurer back in 1.0, and it's still a thing, unfortunately.
Granted, the french translation also took some liberties (Astrologian -> Astromancian, Gunbreaker -> Gunsaber).

I'm getting the idea that this is either Green Mage (which would be a bit of an awkward name in FFXIV considering its a DPS, but I guess blue mage kinda broke that down somewhat) or Geomancer.

Ultimately people just like to cherry pick and gatekeep because they don't want a certain job in favor of their own. All classic Final Fantasy jobs will most likely end up in the game in some form overtime. The devs WILL eventually run out of them. Your time with your favorite dream job will come. Just have patience, and keep pushing for it without knocking other peoples hopes down.

...uh...the quests don't say that, they say it draws from this star while ASTs draw from the ones in the heavens. The NPC GEOs clearly cast more Conjury/White Magics. And before you mention barriers: Benison now exists, and Nocturnal Aspected Benefic is now a 2 min CD.

...uh...sure, AST has all of Lightspeed, but WHM has Presence of Mind and all Healers and Casters have Swiftcast. The only other "Time Mage" thing AST has at this point is Gravity magic, which it only uses in AOE and technically Demi could be a separate spell line for TIM.

If CNJ was an actual Job, or Classes could be used in all content, sure, that would be an argument against GEO. But you can't que into a level 90 instance as a CNJ and do your job. Not only can it not function as a full healer at this point, it can't at all function as a DPSer. So that's not an argument and hasn't been since HW at the latest.

I don't necessarily agree with it personally, but the argument is that the turtles are all named after famous artists. Artists = pictures/paintings =?= Pictomancer.

Pictomancer was a one-off Job, though. People can point to Gunbreaker as being "Squall, the Job", but not only did Squal and Seffer use it, Lighting was the star of another FF game and is a partial inspiration for it as well. I'm not saying it won't be Pictomancer, but I do think a lot of people have latched onto that more than they probably should.

I also agree that the shirt/clues will be one of those hindsight is 20/20 things where some people lie and say they saws it all along (no matter what it is) and everyone will say it makes sense now (whether or not it does), but may not be as apparent looking forward as looking back.

They took an OG Jobs name and slapped it on the new OC Donut Steel. They could do the opposite just as easily.

After that line Levava says about the walls between Sharlayan astrology and Doman Geomancy being torn down, Kyokuho was going to reform and train the bad Kugane “geomancers” and send them to Levava. In the capstone quest, our experiences performing astrology on the First without seeing the stars gives insight to Levava on her quest to perform astromancy using the earth like a geomancer would.

The lore book also says Kyokuho applies AST to GEO, as if it’s a part of that discipline now:

So much of geomancer already exists as the plot of an existing job questline and reuses the assets of a different class that still exists in the game. The only real geomancer in the world learned how to do it through said questline and couldn’t repair barriers made with geomancy until after he learned astrology.

I personally don’t see the appeal in introducing a new job that either has to awkwardly dance around all that or involve redoing a series of quests to have it fit in better when we could just have something new instead. But maybe there are people out there super devoted to the job and I’m just not one of them.
