But you'll still pay no matter what. So honestly stfu whining dude. This is childish at this point. You've said the same thing over and over and over like farming and it's old dude. Some will call me saying that mean (or criticism policing) but you are literally whining about every little thing to do with this game yet line up every month to pay for it. "Oh I buy crysta for XI but use a small amount for XIV" is a scapegoat response as when it comes down to it you are in fact still paying for XIV every month like everyone else. Most of what you say isnt constructive and serves little purpose. It's comical and frankly pathetic at this point. Just keeping it real.
And how long ago was that? 15 years ago?
No MMO can attract mainstream players today. Mainstream audience doesn't even know what an MMO is, and most don't have the desire to play a tab targeting 2.5s GCD MMO with hundreds of hours of unvoiced dialogue.
Mainstream audience is playing things like Fortnite or Valorant or League of Legends, or some random shooter. There are hundreds of games they would play before ever touching any modern MMO. Clash of Clans is far more mainstream than FF14 would ever be.
MMO players can't handle the fact that MMOs are now culturally irrelevant and are indeed less relevant than a random mobile game. You're trapped in your bubble and definitely do not talk to the mainstream at all if you believe that.
I don't know a gamer who doesn't know what an mmo is. Most have no desire based on...what? Your opinion?
Most of Fortnite dialogue ain't voiced either. Hell I'd say Fortnite is quite close to an MMO in certain aspects. Also Clash? Really? A f2p MOBILE game is more mainstream...big shocker there.
Comparing Mobile games to MMOs is just dumb. If MMOs are irrelevant so is the Indie Scene buy your logic. Hell so are fighting games to then cause mobile games pull in more. See how stupid that sounds? I'll say it for what a 3rd time? There's alot of bs spewing out of your mouth.
Nah, WoW got popular because Blizzard gave their marketing team an infinite budget to work with resulting in them flooding every magazine and website they could find with ads, flooding TV with celebrity commercials, and stores with any kind of merch imaginable... including "adult" toy stores... >.>
Basically it was a massive hype engine pushing a mediocre to decent product.
I would also argue the game came at the right place at the right time when online social interaction was starting to boom. That in of itself caused so many casual people who didnt even fully play the game but instead used it as a medium to interact and hang out with friends.
I hope there is an adult toy of this...
