I got termination ban but I thought it was too harsh

It is straight forward. You botted to craft items. By crafting those items, you throw the economy out of balance. You can produce 100s of pots with minimal effort on your part which in turns allows you to not buy pots on the marketboard, lowering the demand by your artificial production of pots.

That's all there is to it.

I will say, I'm surprised it is an "account terminated" ban if this is your first offense.

Also speaking as an actual lawyer here, It doesn't really matter what it states in a ToS - there's tons of precedent in the past of the US court systems that show ToS are very flimsy when it comes to being upheld in court. Plenty of ToS have lost in court, a couple have succeeded, it highly depends on the actual nature of the case itself.

The more important tidbit is the fact that 99.99999% of the population aren't interested to go through a lengthy, stressful & costly legal battle to challenge it over a video game account that you might ultimately end up losing anyway and be in a worse off situation than before, when just quitting or paying $60-ish bucks to restart are infinitely cheaper alternatives.

Get a new account and don't craft in public spaces unless you're gonna do it all by hand. Easiest solution.

Like others have said, just write an appeal to support using an alt character in game. You can use the Free Trial if needed.

Be nice, be polite. Even the ones who broadcasted using third party tools during world firsts got to keep their accounts, so if some potion crafting is truly all you were doing, they likely thought you were just another gil farm bot and/or a compromised account.

lol, meanwhile there are bot clusters under limsa 24/7 and people stream themselves cheating for a world first clear in front of thousands. the former of which just resume their activities for weeks uninterrupted, and the latter got slaps on the wrist.
not saying 2 wrongs make a right but come the fuck on lmao. man's basically taking an extra step to macro his crafts and gets immediate termination? either we're missing something here or they just jumped like 3 steps ahead in the ban process in a single step.

And? The system can’t force a company to let a player play the game. Especially after breaking the rules. You want to cite a few examples in the US system. The world is bigger than the US. What are the outcomes in Japan as it’s a Japanese company. The law in the US can not dictate the world

It's also entirely possible OP doesn't live in the states. Not everyone on the NA servers is American.
