What happened in the last week to make people so vocally against the current state?

Just out of genuine curiosity, when was the last time you visited the forums and how often do you? Because I'm not sure I've ever seen this place be positive. Which sorta makes sense, given that people in general are more likely to take the time to visit a forum and post something when they have a complaint, whereas people who are enjoying playing a game are...well...playing the game. There's also some select perpetually negative bitter folks who seemingly spend their entire online existence just bashing the game who re-appeared recently, so evidently it's that bad...but they still come back, log in, and actively play it *shrugs*.

Do... Do the words free log in campaign mean nothing to you? Nothing at all? Hells, multiple posters have mentioned it just here and now in this thread. It's the first post after OP's friend, I'm literally begging you to read it. It's highly unlikely that, if these posters are indeed as disenfranchised as you claim, are still actively playing. Please, cease the spread of misinformation.

As far as I've noticed, Theodoric seems to be the only one posting that is back in the forums due to the free log in campaign. The rest have been pretty consistent posters all along, even before it started.

I think someone else pointed out the more likely reason - the interview YoshiP did where he said not to expect the next stage of the relic to be much different. That seems to be what set off the current surge of negativity.

There are a few other people here I know are due to free login.

Nice attempt at "how dare you point out the bad arguments used by the naysayers" - but it falls flat. I play a bit, I post here a bit. It's healthy to do a variety of things. Quite telling, though, that you would cease to silence the people who call out the echo chamber for its many flaws.

Still doesn't make sense. "I hate everything about this game, nothing has changed, but...I can login once for free just to spend two more weeks whining about the game on the forums?" Seems rather unhealthy...
