On the note of them adding things from previous games.. I wouldn't like to see Nanaki, even though he was a cool character, but adding a City or something from one of the more futuristic FF titles would be pretty cool. Have it all in ruins and a mystery.
Long extinct civilizations and jazz.

Edit: As stated above however, a Gold Saucer'esque playground is a must.

Hell, having an expy of Nanaki's race show up at some point - since he's going for referential callbacks, not outright "X, transplanted into XIV" - would be kind of neat. They were criminally underused in 7's setting ;~;

No! Please SE do not use characters from the main series for this, i am all for races and stuff, and certain locations or stuff that could be inspired by actual locations from the series, but straight up ripe off ? No! Just No!

But i wish they would add that Wolf race they had in FFIV-VI

Nanaki is not a horse.

Seriously though, the only good mount is a Chocobo mount. ... other then that maybe a horse or oxen or sheep /things that really are used as mounts in FF universes.

Goobbue and other Mob mounts cause the hole in the O-Zone layer and that's why we have Dalamund ...and stinky cheese.

I want to see a Papaoupamus from FF Crystal Chronicles, but that's just me and it'd never happen.

Adding Nanaki as a mount would degrade the character. If I remember, only Cait Sith is shown riding him and he's not even a living creature, plus it was out of necessity. Members of Nanaki's race are too proud to be so subservient to humans.

I'm not advocating for putting it in or anything, but this is strictly based on the lore of FF7. That does not apply to FFXIV.
