The anger come from people tolerating lack of QoL improvements by using 3rd part tools.
If they start enforcing those rules a LOT of anger is going to be directed at the devs for not providing official tools to replace them.
To the DEVS. Put up or shut up. Unless you can do better, stop trying to stop people.

Parsing is good for the sake of personal improvement, but I dislike the fact the FFLogs is an "opt out" service as opposed to "opt in" as it draws a lot more negative scrutiny from people then it would otherwise.
It creates skewed performance metrics when you have people who are not actively logging and having parses inconsistently uploaded by others regardless of how good/bad they are vs. people in statics who are actively logging but can choose to omit runs where they made mistakes or did worse that they felt comfortable showing.
