I HIGHLY doubt people are being suspended for using emotes.
I would hate to get banned for have a little laugh after beat a player in a match and using a broom emote after . just as much as i could use a broom on a player in town that plays dead. iam starting to see this pvp in this game dying as fast as it come live .. if they want to cuddle the player
After the patch, diamond & Crystal games are now very quiet that they only say hello or good game in the beginning and end of the match. There is no more "fall back" or "LB at x%" or any other quick chat. The games became very bronze like, attacking which ever you like and no coordination (at least in Elemental). I hope this is just a initial day reaction after the announcement but if everything stays the same, the detailed announcement ruined CC (besides the cheating, OP jobs and trading that was not addressed). I was hoping SE will do it right this time sigh
Toxic positivity is a thing, and it's bleeding into pvp sadly. Shit talking has ALWAYS been a part of competitive games, and a valid strategy to throw your opponents off their game. If you can't handle a bit of trashing, you probably don't have the mental fortitude for it. Don't do it myself, but I won't lose sleep if I see it happening
Wonder how they would feel about the flag of ownership in WoW.
I will continue to emote every time I delete a White Mage from existence
I don't taunt people or anything like that if I am victorious,I just move on if i kill/get killed by someone, or I target the person who killed me and try to kill em back.
That being said, we already lost our words in pvp, which is dumb, if your feelings need that much protection then I dont know what to tell u, maybe competitive content isn't for u.
6 pages about this just baffles me.
Anyway, if you have time to emote you have time to crystal.
BMing in pvp isnt being toxic, its getting into another players head and causing them to make mistakes or angry enough to focus on you rather than the objective. Its a natural thing in competitive anything, and people need to quit being 5yr olds about it. If i had a long 1v1 with someone and outplay them when we are both low health and win, you bet your a** im gonna style on um and flex; just as I would expect the same in return. this community has become waaaaaay to soft over the years... like people getting triggered over house squatters "stalking them" like bruh, its a video game, just blacklist them and move along, they cant hurt you, ya big baby.
Thank you, finally someone with common sense when its comes to a competitive environment!
Just because ff14 doesn't have blatant toxic behavior out in the open like it used to, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. The fact you are in this forum posting, proves this is a non sequitur by admission people deem this as toxic. this game has TONS of passive aggressive toxicity due to the fact every other form of expression has been cut out of the game or been squeezed dry from an over reaching TOS. Ever wonder why people just rarely talk anymore in public, or say anything in a dungeon besides "hello" or "gg"? You simply cant bs or saying anything remotely offensive anymore without someone in this community having a mental breakdown. "When everything is considered toxic, I find that far worse than being able to point out what is toxic."
