Arguing in favor of impatience is never the same as being patient. And technically, it's all "baby content". We're all playing a video game, something we're paying to be entertained by. It's not a job, there's no sub-requirements for participation, there's no technical requirements.

There are a plethora of tools that a person can take advantage of to maintain their “first experience”. But roulettes are used for people to make quick gains. Whether for exp towards their own leveling, or a tome bonus to help get gear. As is with roulettes, you take what you are given. Sometimes that pairs us up with first timers. Sorry newbie, the system in place allows my path to cross with your, and we are getting to the end of this dungeon without allowing you to explore etc. That may include fighting during a cutscene. I run in with my team.
You really want to help newbies out, maintaining their first experience? Explain the tools available to them. Submit yourself to their cause and volunteer your time. But as is, you get what you’re given. We have to deal with it. Or chine on the forums, not accepting that it wont actually change a thing.
Btw, their first experience is not more important than my over all experience. I’m playing this game for me. Not them. Everyone in duty finder is just there as a means to get done what I need. At the end of the day, who are these people to me?

The primary purpose of roulettes is to fill duties so first-timers can get through the MSQ. Your tomes and other daily rewards are a bribe to help them out. You're secondary.

Yes thats an argument I used before. I’m aware of the purpose of roulettes. The part you got wrong is its not for first timers. It’s to fill duties in general. No one is secondary. Has nothing to do with prioritizing new players and first timers. You were so close

Let's look at it from a company stand point.
Who is more beneficiary to a company? Someone who has been consistently giving them money for upward of 8 years, or someone who is just taking whatever is free (free trials)?

Monetarily, the payer is more important. However, it would be a bad business practise to put anyone above anyone. Sprouts are no more important than veterans, just as veterans are no more important than sprouts. Let's stop pretending that the company designed things in such a manner to prioritize one group over the other. Square is not going to alienate any of their consumers.

Whenever I was new to the game and players "stood up for me" by essentially griefing runs and causing drama on my behalf, it just made me feel really embarrassed about basically being used by a stranger to start unnecessary conflict over something extremely minor.

It's like having a parent that is a karen; They might have your best interests in mind deep down somewhere, but they just make the entire experience worse for every single person involved, including the person they are 'helping'.

Won't someone think of the sprouts?

If it's even remotely possible that sprout might have a negative experience, then we must treat that as an absolute certainty and respond with full weight and righteous force of moral justification! May our lord and savior Yoshi-P smite these heathens from the lands with the almighty ban hammer. Huzzah!

Is this seriously a thread whining about potentially causing combat sounds in a sprouts cutscene?

We really are in the depths of pre expansion blues eh? =(

Rather than whining and griping at other players about an 'issue' that's barely worthy of the word, how about we gripe about how long that black screen stays for when you teleport into a fight from outside after being in said cutscene. Compound 2P was probably the most obvious offender with people routinely dieing to the in/out mechanic whilst stuck in a completely unnecessary black screen and unable to do anything.

That’s fine. If people want to wait, that’s on them. The true issue comes when the white knights desire those who don’t to be punished or start actively harassing while spewing vitriol
