Of course they're not a democracy, but from what I could tell - specifically from their perspective - is that they did something bad, got a warning, then without further instigation had that warning evolved to a dismissal.
I mean if that's how someone wants to run their FC it's well within their right to do so. That doesn't mean everyone needs to agree. Wouldn't that ultimately be the point of this topic, to garner opinions about the situation from others?

I’m glad that you’ve had decent experiences, but not all of us are as lucky as you. My first FC I was in was a really big one on my server. The officers and long-time members were very cliche-y. I never got answers to questions I had. Never got offered help for things (though they had no issues helping the long-term members). And I eventually just left. Wasn’t a good experience for me, and being new to the game, really soured my perception towards larger guilds.

If you're sh*t-talking your fellow FC members behind their backs but on a livestream that anyone can see, then you lack any sort of respect for anyone in that FC, leader included. But that lack of respect goes both ways, and if you can dish it, you can take it. Yakoo is clearly not okay with the disrespect she was shown, and from the sounds of it, neither were the people in her FC, so the kick was fully warranted. The initial action was deemed not enough, and when we see that the culprits decided to delete the evidence of their wrongdoing, it moreso shows that they weren't really repentant, just "sorry they got caught". That sort of behavior is what leads to further drama and frustration, and she was right to nip it in the bud when she deemed her warning wasn't good enough.

You may disagree with the lack of another cause to be removed for, but it seems like you're trying to shift blame for the situation onto Yakoo instead of the jerks who started this whole mess in the first place by being sh*tty people. Sh*tty people don't get to play with the rest of the kids if they can't play nice.

I've had similar experiences. I don't know why or where anyone is getting the impression I've only had good experiences throughout TWENTY YEARS OF MMO GAMING that people keep ignoring when they quote me. I pointed out that judging large guilds by how they recruit is not a good way to go about it. And for some reason people seem to think I've never had a bad experience.

Perhaps because the implications in your first post is that you have had only good experiences throughout 20+ years of gaming. You’re quick to stress the good and denounce those who cite their own bad experiences in large guilds, but you haven’t given any descriptions to that bad that you’re now claiming to have, nor were you really acknowledging that the bad exists in large FCs (personally, all the anecdotes I’ve heard about large guilds in this game has been primarily bad—yours is one of the very few good reviews I’ve read).

You’re leaning very heavily on one side without acknowledging the other in the post I initially replied to, even though you’re saying now that the bad experiences do apply to you. Perhaps that’s why there’s resistance to what you’re posting.

This was very early in the game, maaaybe 3 months after release of 2.0? Maybe more...when did Coil begin? lol Anyways it was one of the Officers that stole, they were actually of rank to have access and were a crafter. I mean yes, we were naive to trust someone after such a short period. I thought at the time and still do, that said person was trying to get back at the one who did the gathering even though they hurt the whole FC. At the time we were crafting gear for anyone who needed it to help with MSQ progression, and more importantly anyone on the Raid group who needed it as a fill in. Maybe it was just theft to take it to their new FC I have no freakin clue. Point is, as a leader of an FC you really have limited options for punishment that anyone would care about, so there's really no accountability except to report to SE and move on. And really there's no punishment for theft within the game because....well they had access as you pointed out. The part where they, and the OP's griefers went and partook in clear harassment? Well that's just letting the stupid show through, now they can be punished. I've basically given up on the FC model, been in a couple here n there after. My S.O and I ran one successfully for about 2 years before the drama crept in. I left quickly and they, not long after. I'm in a defunct FC right now with my S.O and one of our old friends who basically logs in monthly to keep tabs as irl stuff goes on. I do all my socializing on Discord and in Linkshells. Easier to avoid the inevitable bs. The house and Actions are perks, and that's it

Earlier someone said all shout fc’s are “cesspools of drama”. The user you're replying to said that their fc which uses shout chat actually has a nice friendly atmosphere and that it was unfair to make such sweeping generalizations. Then someone else essentially accused them of denying that any bad shout fc’s exist by claiming that they aren’t all bad and now that seems to have become the narrative for some reason. I don’t see them denouncing anyone for saying they’ve had a rotten time in a large fc. I didn’t get the idea from their first post that nothing unpleasant has ever happened while gaming. Just that they like their current fc which shout advertises, therefore they disagree that every single fc that does that is automatically awful.
