According to Yoshi P. they are looking into Cross-Data Center Play? Hmmm...

I'd love to be able to play with my goblin friends on my ultros main, instead of having to keep up a goblin alt.

If they do plan on making everything cross data center, they should also extend the friends list and blacklist by a certain amount at the same time or before.

I think this would be awesome... granted it also means I'll need to add three more languages to my knowledge so I can have casual conversation and communication with the other two servers but it'll be great.

World visit already affected MBs and hunts - I can handle hunts - but the MB is another thing. I'd be ok with duty finder/party finder for sure, but i'm not sure about world visit. I like it and don't at the same time ... it could standardise the economy, which would effect Low and High pop datacenters in good and bad ways, depending.

I'd want it like this:

Chaos <-> Light
Primal <-> Aether <-> Crystal
JP same as above.

Learning languages takes a lot of time. Sure you wanna think about adding German, French, Spanish, Finnish, Japanese, etc etc? Just saying because there are more spoken than just German and French and Japanese. Besides, EU players all speak English, I donno about the JP datacenter though.

Well the cynical side of me just thinks: Maybe the JP DCs would finally also get a massive Bot problem and thus we finally get better solutions for that. And I also wonder how stable everything would run.

Tbh I think this will just lead to more harassment. I know maybe 3 friends that switched over to Primal because they couldn’t stand the drama from Aether servers. Yoshida is honestly not thinking about the consequences of his actions, at all. At the very least, he should increase the blacklist limit and friend list limit.

The whole “let’s all be a big happy family” mindset....I just can’t help but think it’s a bit delusional.

While I'd welcome the idea of being able to visit people on different DCs from me, I worry how it would further effect things like hunts and the market board.

We already have problems with people actively trying to make hunting an unpleasant experience for others just on Aether alone.

There are already gil farm bots on the JP servers/data centers.

Just do a search for the most recently created FCs and you'll see tons of the usual gibberish-named FCs filled with similarly named players.

The lack of action is really just due to ignorance and/or incompetence.

I dont think they would allow Cross-DC Market usage to be honest. so im all down for this
