For some reason I don't think people are going to magically become more skilled if the rewards are locked to the top 100. But by playing more often they will.... again the goal is to get people to play more. I think seasons 2 and 3 show how badly top 100 locked rewards alone are to getting people to play (don't forget, people are still getting top 100 rewards, that appears to still be locked).

Sorry you're going to have to speak more clearly. All I hear you is crying over the rewards you don't have and trying to come up with a reasonable excuse to why you deserve them.

guess it will be a sad day for pvp die hards when they start implementing all these different options for the ticket system. Especially since SE is working towards more new players and wishing that the vets will help teach the new players and next generation.

We would have a working chat if they wanted Pvpers to teach people who can't carry their weight in a game with 9 buttons, but that's another story.

I agree over 9000! I've mentioned in other related threads that there's a small light of hope, and I mean small, with the callouts and marks. A lot of wins I had was because these were used properly and other players were competent enough to follow.

It's going to be too late in the season to get a large percentage of new players to work with this though, unless a mass spread of videos or tutorials about it spawn. Not holding my breath but hoping :(

I get that this makes you guys feel "passionate" about PVPing, but you're literally just flinging insults instead of having a constructive argument. It makes you look really bad, regardless of the points you make.

I'm suggesting that people who are passionate about PVP, should be able to grab a reward they can't grasp because they have full time jobs, friends, and family to attend to. There are a lot of people who can't do 75 Feast Queues and Matches daily to improve their rank. Believe it or not, the game climbs you toward gold if you have a 50% win ratio, regardless of skill. That's technically a time investment for a more unlucky player. Skill can't decide everything in Solo Queue. If there was a 4v4 mode still (which was actually rampant with win traders, why do you think it's been removed?), I'd grab friends and go for it, because it takes less time to climb a more condensed ladder.

Believe me, I appreciate that we can earn the weapons, but why not let people who play, rank really high, but don't have the time to compete for those last few points near the top 100, or those who get shafted on the last day because they're busy, and miss top 100 because other people pass them, do they not deserve top 100 even though they may have been there for 3 weeks and got shafted on the last few days? It just seems backwards to me, even though I can guarantee that that person will NOT be me personally.

If you're passionate about PVP, and dedicate time to it, you deserve a reward. I should know. I grinded Rank 50 back in 2.X, people loved my PVP set glamours, they always asked where to get them, they loved it. I feel for those people. I only got rank 50 at the time because Ul'dah was dominating Secure on Aether, and I also had no job to occupy my time, so that's what I did. I queued for Frontlines all day. But, did I think it should be that way? Hell no. It felt exclusive, I felt awesome, but holy shit was it a lot of work and a huge grind. Now it's invalidated completely. Am I pissed? No. I'm not screaming at other people because I was privileged enough to be sitting at home all day and night grinding frontlines.

Ranking gets you tickets, top 100 lets you waive the tickets, get armor, and get a weapon for free if you're the top 10. That's great! Give people extra rewards for placing in the top 100, but a LOT of people play this game. Top 100 for a data center is rather absurd. It's like saying only world first gets exclusive glamour for raids. World first is impressive, but the idea of that?... It's asinine.

Look man. I\'ll be reasonable with you. Did you seriously not expect any backlash from something like this? Let\'s not be ignorant and level with me for a moment.

You talk about time, players have got a top 100 spot in less than 150 games. You talk about skill, look at the change they\'ve made to accommodate for it. Yes you get unlucky, yes it sucks when you lose. It sucks even more when you try and don\'t get the things you want. I have a full time job, study and go to the gym everyday. People who know me on here can vouch for that. (Usually because I complain about work in my discord)

However, is it really necessary to have everything? There are several things I dont have and I dont deserve because I didn\'t take the time to participate. Mr Happy even pointed out in his videos that PVP is different to PVE and players who get the top 100 deserve to be rewarded for not only the hard work they put in, but individual skill.

I hope one day you will understand this, I hope you will get top 100 this season and feel the relief as well as the joy at truly earning something. Once you do, maybe you can then see things from our side. I failed in season 1 to get the jacket, I played 800 games in season 2, and I was a complete noob but I never gave up. I had a 45% win rate. Come season 4 I got the reward in under 150 games and a 68% win rate. I wasn't the only player who rose up and got better over time. I hope that doesn't come across as arrogant but I'm trying to make you understand.

All the best for this season, I hope you get your reward so you can see and feel the pride we hold as PVPers. Work hard my brother.

Noone is flinging insults at anyone, if you can't take people not agreeing with you then don't start a discussion.
Also you are 100% wrong in what you just wrote,
you don't need a 50% winrate to get to gold, you can climb with a 42%winrate up to diamond.
You also don't need anywhere near as many matches as you say,
it took me 4 weeks of playing 4-8 games a day to get a top100 spot.

This game is beyond forgiving, there is no game where you can climb with a negative winrate but here you even get rewards for underperforming.
You have literally no rating decay, so you can just play up to a safespot and you get your rewards, I dont know of any game that does that, because its just dumb.

Hey takatsuki is there really no decay in higher tiers? In still unranked so I thought that was just an unranked thing
