Ya, I think Bahamut design should look more like a Stand or Persona, emitting from the back of the user, based around the size of the user, and when you use their ultimate attack they could show the design we see now much like how Hellfrog Medium is an in and out animation. Sure it's big but it's there for a split second, not a target and goes away quick. Bahamut's "ultimate" abilities could use that model in a similar fashion.

Eh, people complained about egis being too small.

Sorry I asked for a real SUMMON and I got it.

It's big yes am I bothered? Not really. I'm a caster so I'm always at the back so it doesn't block anything.

BUT

I think it would be a good idea to spawn bahamut at the back in the middle with full range for all attacks. I don't see why it needs moving or being around me.

Making it smaller would defeat the purpose of all SMNers requesting real SMNs. If it goes smaller it will become another egi.

So permanent place bahamut at the back like 3 bodies back.

Well of course you aren't bothered by it as much as the 7 other people in your group. I outright REFUSE to group with Summoners until that thing receives changes.

Placing is not a good solution, it needs to become translucent for party members, there are mechanics that expect you to look outside the arena to know where something is coming from and even if you could place Bahamut outside it could still block the view.

Should Bahamut get replaced with a Bahamut-Egi?
