Coulda sworn i saw in the all jobs tool tops umbral heart uses up 2 UH when flare us used to decrease the mp by 60% on one tool top and 30% on another tool tip.

I don't know, I'm only going by the tooltips from the media tour which states word by word: Reduces MP required to cast Flare by one-third while under the effect of Umbral Heart. Casting Flare completely removes the Umbral Heart status.

Nowhere does it say you can stack it (wouldn't that mean using Flare with 3 stacks would reduce MP cost by 3/3 making it cost no mana ;)) Also nowhere does it state that you need more than 1 stack to cast Flare, so I am assuming that regardless how many stacks you have it will remove ALL of them and reduce the mp-cost by 1/3 which makes casting Flare when you have 1/3 stacks the most optimal.

As for Fire2, the potency was nerfed from 100 to 80 yes, but that doesn't mean its no longer worth casting in an aoe situation. Keep in mind that F2 has no drop off regardless of target count. Alternatively if you just do not want to use F2 i guess it would still be better to then cast 2 Fire4 on one or two of the targets and then flare rather than Flare with 3 umbral hearts.

I say stack because you get 3 umbral hearts upon casting blizzard 4. Not stacking the effect itself.

Also no i didnt say f2 wasnt worth casting i said casting -too many- isnt worth it when UH allows for multiple flares and f2s potency decrease is enough to push us towards double flare (without convert) aoe rotations.

Though im looking for it im positive i saw the flare reduction costing 2\3 UHs which is where i based all my info from.

from what im seeing from our 15480 mp from UI into f3 itll be 15480- F2 1800 (mp remaining 13680) (1UH consumed) - F2 1800 (mp: 11880 ) (1 UH consumed) - Flare 4644 (mp 7236) (final UH consumed) - Flare(0 Mp).

So f3 F2x2 flare x 2 (not counting convert) and on reset it looks like itll be the same going forward since we\\\\\\\\'ll refresh thunder 4 into b4 into etc while sticking foul in there whenever it pops.

Also true fire 2 has no drop off but flares lowest 30% DR beats F2s 148 to all vs flares 260 to 1/ 234 to 2 and -182- to 3 onward.

So i guess our upgrade if i imagined the 2x UH requirement is that instead of 3x f2 and 1 flare its 2x f2 and flare x2 + foul.

I can live with that.

Right, but Flare will eat up ALL umbral hearts regardless if you have 1, 2 or 3 stacks, that is why i said it would be the most efficient to use it with 1 stack remaining to make the most out of its effect. And yes obviously you would need to use up 1 of those on flare so cast 2 F2 (or something else) and then flare leaving you with enough mp to cast a 2nd flare which would leave you as you say at 0 mp.

I'm hardworking in Early Access. I will make a In-Game Test since i reach lvl70

tried all kind of rotations (even this1) on susano ex doll, my stats are 1606 crit, det 628, direct hit 1101, att magic 2100, SS 1301. Results: doll always left with HP between 6 to 11% as of now i think blm got a big single target nerf or simply direct hit stat weight more than crit. If some1 can confirm which between direct hit and critical is more useful for BLM would be appreciated
