I was talking about mythic raids, not dungeons, which should have been apparent due to the lack of four dungeon difficulties. Greater mythic dungeon difficulties were inevitable, given that they do not scale with gear and are a fixed difficulty based entirely on the level. Also, they may realize that it's whoever trying to do whatever, but that has absolutely never stopped them from eventually caving to those people. The main point was that 1. balancing isn't easy, no matter what armchair developers say and 2. throwing more raid difficulties at the playerbase is not panacea for player woes.

There lot of people unaware of this? Person could subscribe to both XI and XIV dating back to 1.0 I don't really see how people could think they could only sub to one or the other.

In addition to being super rich, OP knows how to navigate a website. Unlike the most of rest of us poor fools.

I personally think that it was the majority complaining about Gordias' hard difficulty vs the minority complaining about the Creator being "too easy". The numbers were clear, Gordias pretty much nuked the raiding community, while The Creator is trying to save it. I PERSONALLY THINK that A12S should be a bit harder but that's it, the rest of the encounters were okay. I would just tune the fights to make it so you can't skip lots mechanics due of high DPS, place a bare minium and a threshold. That's what's mostly made the encounters amazingly easy: Skipping mechanics. Address that and you'll have a more difficult content to deal with.

Personal story, I know a person that was skipping puddles in A12S for a very long time. He got paired with a group that couldn't skip them and he didn't even remember how to do it, causing a couple of wipes because of it.

you can't please everyone, and you should never try to please everyone. Difficulty has been and always will case-by-case. sure they can just make it bog standard: easy clear-able by the majority, medium about coil difficulty, and savage at expected, and that'll make the most people happy. i would be perfectly satisfied with my coil level medium difficulty, but there's at least a overly vocal handful out there who wants hard to be damn near impossible, and the same for the opposite end. Until the dev team realizes that we on the forums are what equates to a bunch of gremlins that want our cake, and want to eat it too...your going to get the mentality that Yoshi-p was displaying at fanfest.

I don't disagree with you. Simply because if you make content for everyone. Someone is going to look at harder content and complain that they can't do it. Usually shrouded with a statement that they're being excluded by 'elitists'. But that's an irrationality that devs should ignore.

It's probably because it takes more dev time and dev cost to make a fight on FF14 as compared to FF11. I wouldn't be surprised considering the amount of polish that goes into making each encounter on FF14.
